Thought it might be interesting for these two notorious comedy podcast sidekicks to sit down for a pow-wow. Both are tangentially related from the Meltdown era and I think Matt might be open to come on a new podcast considering he seems to be going a little stir crazy over on his Star Trek podcast ever since not being re-hired on The Goldbergs.

I just thought I would put this idea out in the ether

At around the 3:45 of Episode 93 Matt Mira addresses jokes he’s made recently on podcasts, and Reddit users’ need to overanalyze his words:

“Sometimes I say things on podcasts that are pretty much at face value. No need to look for deeper meanings.”

I’m probably guilty. You won’t have to dig too deep into my history to see it. I apologize to But I do want you/him to know what motivates people like myself. We see someone we respect and admire getting torn apart by the gears of social media greased by misinformation.

I remain a Matt Mira fan and supporter. If you’re not listening to Star Trek: The Next Converstaion, James Bonding, and Matt & Doree’s Eggcellent Adventure, you’re missing out.

And Matt, if you’re reading this, I’ve got three blastocysts on ice here in Chicago. We’re not going to need them. So if you get really desperate, hit me up.

Will you be jolly molly breakfast bacon deluxe, giggling wiggling and twitching like that one zombie from the Dawn of the Dead?

Or maybe more like me. That is a little bit sad, thinking it is more of a 'meme' gimmick than a proper hero with 'cool' factor'

Heard on the Star Trek TNC and James Bonding Facebook groups that Matt has COVID. According to family he is doing ok. Hoping he has a speedy recovery!

Does anyone know what happened to the Sidekick with Matt MIra feed? I'm not able to download it from iTunes anymore and it doesn't appear to be in the rss feed either.

I don't have twitter or instagram so I can't send Matt a message. Or unless someone has a link to download the episodes.

It’s an extra special hostful episode! Chris and Jonah recently joined Matt on his show Sidekick with Matt Mira on Alpha, and here it is as a podcast! Jonah talks to Matt about his punk band days past, Chris showcases some questionable Snapchat cat art and they compete to see how well they really know Matt!

The Kevin Smith-Jessica Chobot-Matt Mira episode was one of the funniest I've seen. Check it out.

A number of his podcasts (Pretty much all of them from what I can tell) have gone inactive for a pretty extended period of time.

From what I can tell it's just because he's really busy with his other work, but was it ever mentioned anywhere that he would be taking a break from podcasting?

I follow his twitter feed but I don't recall seeing anything along those lines.

I think the public is fed up with dour, overly-serious Bond, we're ready for the pendulum to swing back to camp Bond, and that the Three Matts can make it happen.
