WWE Tough Enough

Seeing as no one else has made one yet, I figured I'd throw this one together before it starts.

2015*

As had been reported elsewhere, Tough Enough will include NXT wrestlers that haven't appeared on TV yet. But they were looking at the people that were at the camp late last week at the Performance Center, which included about 30 males and roughly 10 females.

The "casting call" that went around in the last few weeks isn't legit, as it was cut & pasted from the last Tough Enough casting call. But they may look at indy wrestlers as well, that are on WWE's radar.

It's said that people from USA were interested in some of the participants of the camp, which included people that had never watched wrestling in the past, and never heard of Tough Enough, no less. It's being said that NXT has the right to offer a deal to any members of the camp first, and if they pass on that, USA Network can then offer them a spot on Tough Enough.

For example, one person was offered a spot on Tough Enough. But they have to wait to see if WWE will offer them an NXT deal first. The person in question is a third generation wrestler.

Hopefully there will be more details in the near future.

A.J. voices “Buzz,” MyPlayer in the new WWE2K19 video game. A.J. has had a handful of run-ins with WWE in the past, including a run as a contestant on the 2011 season of WWE Tough Enough (available on the WWE Network), a tryout with NXT in 2012, and a half-dozen stints as extra talent at WWE televised events.

He also won Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “Rock the Promo” tournament, a ten-episode promo competition series that launched The Rock’s YouTube channel in 2016. A.J. won top honors after getting the nod from Kurt Angle, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Mick Foley, and The Rock, himself. Watch the finals [here] ()

A.J. currently hosts, ring announces, and provides the commentary at independent promotions all over the western United States and is based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Fun fact: he’s also a Nickelback fan. Like, not in an ironic way, either . Yes, really.

Everyone always wants to complain (myself included) about how the WWE writers are lazy, boring, stupid, etc. I just wish there was a point where the WWE admitted that creative may be slacking a bit, and they should hold an open-try out for writers. The only problem may be that's a HUGE break in kayfabe (i think i'm using that term correctly) admitting that there even ARE writers. This would give people a chance to either show they could be part of the writing crew, or show the complainers that they're not quite as imaginative as they thought they were.
