I hate Catherine Fox

Every time she says, "I'm Catherine Fox..." I'm like, "Gurl, shut the fuck up."

I swear, if she makes herself Chief of Surgery of Grey Sloan, I will stop watching.

Who am I kidding, I'd gleefully watch for the drama and the doctors revolt against her.

She's ruining storylines here. Usually I don't wish ill things on people, but since this is a fictional TV show, I HOPE YOUR CANCER RETURNS AND KILLS YOU.

This is a testament to how great of an actress Debbie Allen is. Her performance makes me hate Catherine Fox.

But yeah, I hate Catherine Fox.

An interesting but unimportant thought about A1 Car Wash.

An interesting but unimportant thought about A1 Car Wash.

Never gave much thought to the name of the car wash before, as it was generic sounding and boring.

But, there was actually a reason.

Before the days of the internet, the phone book was king. And the practice of going through a tome-like book too look for something was a pain in the ass.

So companies started adopting "A's" in their name. AAA Chimney Pros. AA Windows. A1 Tank Removal. AAA Auto Detailing.

It was a way to get yourself put in the front of the phone book and more accessible to people who are impatient. It worked, more often than not. The public and businesses trained eachother to do this.

"A1" in particular is crafty, as the 1 would super-cede another letter character in alpha-numerical order in the book.

So a boring, generic name was purposefully exactly that; and not just another fodder business name on a TV show.

The scene where Betty fires Carla is the most infuriating scene in Mad Men.

Carla was the sweetest, most caring and sensible person who was around Sally, Bobby and Gene. The way Betty fires her and speaks to her makes me want to vomit. I couldn't really care what happened to Betty after that from a human perspective. Even though Betty is an interesting and complex character, she just wasn't the same after this. This show is the best I've ever seen from a writing perspective and Betty is a fantastic written character, but I feel like Carla deserved so much better than this.
