Taking care of your elderly parents does not count as "living with your parents"
Taking care of your elderly parents does not count as "living with your parents"

I'm 31. I have a full time job at software company and easily make enough to live alone.

I have a two bedroom condo, and my mom lives here too, she's 71 and a stroke patient, cannot walk or do anything for herself. Her retirement income is less than mine. Likewise, I do everything for her. I feed her, bathe her, change her diaper, do her laundry, etc. I take care of both of us entirely. I also have power of attorney and full control over both of our finances and lives in general.

I am so tired of people judging me or scoffing at me because "oh you're 31 and live with your parents?"

I didn't live with her for years. I moved out at 18 and only started living with her again at 29 when she had a stroke because she needed the help. I'm so sick of being judged for "living with my parents" because I don't want to just put her in a home and I'd rather take care of her myself while I still can.

"Middle-aged women will do anything but exercise normally." Is a stupid take. I think it is better to do some mambo jambo aerobics, than sitting on couch doom scrolling Instagram.

I've seen a lot of memes lately where women do... Well... Funny looking exercises, like jumping on a trampoline whole being strapped to the ceiling, flying all over the room, and stuff like that.

But IMHO this is better than doing nothing. Yes this looks idiotic, but hey, at least it's some kind of excercise, and they are having fun while doing it.

It's like gym bros telling basketball players that playing basketball is just "fun for kids", and they should instead grind in the gym.

Long story short, yes, these excercises are probably stupid, but it is still cardio and good for your health. Plus they are having fun while losing weight.
