I was worried about them when they did that cringe one about capitalism reducing poverty with Richard Wolff early on, but all their stuff since than has been pretty good.

What didn't you like about it? I can see some counters to it but I'm curious what you think.

I voted blue in GA in the runoff in the hopes that the dems will retake the senate, not because I expect them to do much, but so that if(probably when) they fail to do anything they can't have the excuse of "oh but Mitch wouldn't put it to a vote"

Honest question here: Where is this liberal youth movement that everyone's trying to reach going to materialize from? I feel like NASCAR's been trying to move in to the liberal markets for years, and yet there's really nothing to show for it but declining attendance and ratings. Shouldn't it be time to resign ourselves that it's a very niche sport for people that come from the more conservative parts of the country, the southeast and midwest?

I also think that if it does reach a generation of young ultraconservatives, is that the worst thing in the world? Is their money not as green? I don't think beggars can be choosers here when it comes to deciding which tracks to shut or which grandstands to tear down.

I'm not talking about any liberal movement, I just mean not conspiracy theory. I agree that NASCAR has failed with the monster sponsorship and it didn't generate as much reaction nationwide as we all wanted, but I think it's still the right direction. I don't think nascar needs to be political at all, and inclusion brings people to the stands whereas conspiracy theories tend to give people a negative impression.

This guy has gone on rants about how he wants NASCAR to be a sport for "alt right white men" lol

Bernie needs to keep his ass parked in the senate because we can’t afford to let a seat be vacated and filled by a republican. Anyone who suggests democratic senators be given appointments in a potential Biden administration need to seriously keep in mind that by doing so you would strengthen the hand of the senate GOP and GOP-lite senators like Manchin and that bloviating windbag “idgaf about what kids think” asshole aka Dianne “I’m a hugger” Feinstein.

Gov. Phil Scott has already committed to choosing an independent if Bernie becomes labor sec in a Biden administration.

He'd also be replaced by a republican.

Not that Jacobinmag gives a shit.

Gov. Phil Scott has already committed to replacing Bernie's seat with an independent if Bernie takes the job.

Myself I'm not sure if he's more useful as a senator or as a labor secretary. You'd also have to consider how useful he's been as a political activist, which would be limited if he's labor sec. because of the Hatch Act, which I don't think Bernie would violate. But he wouldn't be replaced by a republican.
