Hello all!
The Mod Team is excited to announce that we will host an in-person meetup event on July 27th in Boston!
We've already announced this within our own subreddit, but wanted to reach out here as well to help spread the word. We coordinated with the mod team to ensure we had permission to post this here.
When and where?
Our meetup will be held on Saturday, July 27th, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., in Boston, MA at a gaming cafe we have reserved for the evening.
What?
We're planning on having several things at this event, including:
-
Over a dozen Nintendo Switch consoles where you can play local multiplayer games against each other.
-
Tentative: An on-site Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament* that would be live-streamed on our Twitch channel.
-
A spin-to-win prize wheel with prizes including stickers, enamel pins, and Nintendo eShop gift cards*.
-
A raffle to win a LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System set*.
-
Complimentary food and non-alcoholic** drinks.
How can I attend?
This is a free event! If you are 18+ years old**, you can RSVP on our .
We'll be in the comments below to answer any questions you may have.
Cheers!
The r/NintendoSwitch Mod Team

Hi, I've got an unopened Megaman 11 amiibo which is mouldy. Not very bad but it's there. A year ago, my display shelf got attacked by white mould but it's fine now I think the mould spores got inside the amiibo's packaging. If you can see the white pedestal was covered in mould as well. Believe it or not that's my one and only amiibo I have. I really don't want to opened it up. If it is a very common one I dont really care, I will open it and buy a new one if I need an unopened collection. I bought it on February 2022, which is quite cheap back then and a lot of people sell it. But now in 2024 I check on my local e-commerce platform no one sell it new in box anymore. Not even used one! What happened if I just leave it there. Should I open it? I'm in dilemma right now.
I did. :P
I know nothing about amiibo cards but my sibling loves them, I collect kpop photocards on Instagram but i could barely find any amiibo cards on there so I was wondering if there was a place somewhere else where collectors get them from? Thanks!!
