Vicarious Visions did the amazing Destiny 2 port for PC.
They recently released their first game after D2, the remake of Tony Hawks 1 & 2.
It is not only a great remake, it is also extremely well optimized for PC, like D2.
Look at Digital Foundry, for example, the reviewer said it is: "the best optimized game from Activision this generation":
You guys will be missed (at least for D2)

According to Tony Hawk himself here:
He said that 3+4 was planned, Vicarious Visions got disbanded and became part of Blizzard, so the game didn't got made by them. Activision tried to find another studio but they couldn't find anyone good enough to make the game. Then Activision heard pitches for other THPS games by other studios and apparently nothing interesting enough

I've seen tons of posts giving Kudos to Bungie......yes, they deserve it
So does Vicarious, they have blown the previous 2 seasons away with a single event.
They have it in them to create a great AAA title.
Thank you for the great work you did with our world. The weapons and the little things like the code that led ppl to the life like Valkerie.

Today Vicarious Visions, the studio who developed Warmind, stopped by our comic shop, The Freakopolis Geekery, to congratulate us on finding the drop site, as well as get the contact info for Sam, the original owner!
You can catch a video of our journey here!
They were incredibly nice folks, and are now in possession of the remaining coins, which they assured me will go to the most deserving folks who cracked the code to the location!
Our conversation was amazing, from the construction of the Valkyrie (Rob is quite the blacksmith!), to the adventure, to the DLC and community summit, they were incredibly thankful to their fans, and are super pumped for the future of Destiny as a whole.
They’re also big tabletop and comic fans, luckily enough! We might play some D&D for charity with the team coming up!
Mid conversation I pointed toward the letters found on the tip of the spear-
The response was more than enough of a confirmation, there’s more secrets to this. We’re in the process of acquiring a black light in order to give it a closer inspection, but keep working at it folks, this puzzle isn’t over yet!
Our hunch is officially that this code relates to something in game, like hitting consoles in various orders, but try anything you can think of!

Pretty much everything that's had me on my seat this DLC, was anything that had to with Vicarious Visions. Thank you guy's for really making an effort on this DLC to bring back the excitement I had for this game originally. It really has impacted my play experience and you guy's are awesome, please keep up the amazing work.

Vicarious Visions workers told Polygon that they were initially under the impression the merger meant their employer would continue to operate as its own studio, although it was owned by Blizzard. The news about the name drop came during a town hall meeting on Wednesday morning. A new name for the studio has not been announced, but some workers speculated that it could be simply called Blizzard Albany. (Vicarious Visions’ office is located in Albany, New York. Blizzard typically uses this naming convention for its satellite offices, for example, Blizzard Austin in Texas.)

They really made the best stuff for D2 and it shows. Ever since the bungie activision split that cost us that studio we've only gone downhill since when it comes to new and exciting content.
If you don't know they made year 2 possible. Which is considered the best year of this game by far.

If a few extra bucks could help Bungie partner with other studios to help produce future content, I'd definitely pay it. Warmind was by far my favorite season; I'd love if VV came back to help with future content.
If Eververse also rose to account for the partnership, I'd also be ok with that.
Hello! I am a researcher and writer for Did You Know Gaming over on YouTube. I talk to game developers about their work and have been spending a lot of time lately uncovering unreleased Spyro games. This year I discovered that Vicarious Visions was planning a new Spyro game after the Reignited Trilogy came out. For some reason, it's not widely acknowledged that VV did some work on RT but they did do some support work on it. Vicarious tried to appeal to the management of Activision Blizzard by planning for their game to have a structure similar to Destiny 2. You can learn more about the project in this video I made on Vicarious Visions and their cancelled projects:
If you're just interested in the Spyro stuff, I talk about that at 31:44 (). The full video covers unreleased Skylanders, Donkey Kong, and Tony Hawk stuff (among others) as well.
P.S. I am doing a follow-up documentary to this one which will get much deeper into another Spyro related project that was cancelled.

From andyTHPS' livestream, timestamp is . They were going to do it, VV got shuttered/folded, other studios were considered to take it on but it got scrapped. Other devs were given an opportunity to pitch for the THPS license but nothing came of it (at least as of right now)
What an absolute bummer! It was such a good remaster and I was hoping against all odds it was still in the works somewhere.

After the (honestly, devastating) today I just wanted to send some love to the team that brought our childhoods back even better than we remember. I'm sorry it ended like this.
Thank you, VV.

abit sad at the same time.
