Sony to acquire Bluepoint Games

From ResetERA

According to my source that is familiar with the development team Bluepoint Games, they're finalizing a deal right now. It seems like Demon's Souls was kind of the "final test", and based on positive reactions, and the fact that Bluepoints work ethic has proven impressive once again Sony started acquisition-based talks with the studio.

The Legend of Dragoon possibly Bluepoint Games' next remake

All of this is old news on r/legendofdragoon and probably doesn't mean shit but I thought I should make this post after PlayStation Japan's leak of Bluepoint's acquisition.

Back in August 18 2019 on Twitter, u/LordAngulus asked Bluepoint's CTO, Peter Dalton, if he liked the video game The Legend of Dragoon. Three days later on August 21 he responded with: "I love The Legend of Dragoon. Perhaps it should be a project?"

Fast forward 3 months, Shuhei Yoshida has a "random" encounter on Twitter with one of The Legend of Dragoon's music composers, Dennis Martin, where he pretends to not remember when they met. https://twitter.com/yosp/status/1199565672474267648

The reason why I think he pretends to not remember is because Shuhei was the Executive Producer of LOD, which makes that reply come off as just a tease.

Dennis doesn't follow any PlayStation studio on Twitter, except Bluepoint Games.

If bluepoint games remade DS2, How would you feel about it?

Mainly in terms of design and minor in-game tweaks, how would you guys feel about it?

In general I love the game since day one! This isn’t me saying it needs a major improvement or anything (maybe minor adjustments) but after I saw how demons souls looked my curiosity about how this would look has grown since

I think I would put more hours into it then I did with all the soulsborne/sekiro games put together
