I’ve got a 6 yr. old kid (wrapping up Kindergarten) that is EXTREMELY interested in electronics and building things. He’s constantly asking me how and why parts work, what symbols are used in diagrams (and then drawing out his own electrical diagrams). When I am able to explain capacitors or generators or whatever, he gets it, and retains it and uses it in his “projects” (he pretends to make stuff and explain how it works - and he’s not always wrong).
I took electronics courses in high school and am a software developer, but there are definitely a lot of knowledge gaps 😅.
The question is: how might you organize a set of basic subjects (from which I can develop lessons) to sate such a kid’s appetite? He’s just getting started with math and obviously won’t be working through derivatives next year. I want to help him move beyond snap circuits though (which have been excellent, but are limiting to some degree) to help answer his how and why questions.

TLDR: Why would Ibanez spend the money on 3 extra components to perform the same action as previous versions?
Everything I can find regarding the TS10 Tube Screamer indicates that the input buffer runs at a different (unknown) bias voltage than all the other TS pedals which run at 4.5V
So I decided to build a version of that buffer in CAD and run SPICE on it. Sure enough, the bias voltage is 6.34V. Note* I used an opamp to make a basic JFET buffer instead of a transistor.
At normal guitar output voltages, even at outrageously hot levels (2 Volts) there is no difference from a standard 4.5V bias. There is plenty of room and the signal gets through clean.
You have to bump the sine wave up to 3 volts to get it to clip asymmetrically. Ok cool, that's a neat idea, but I can't imagine that's what they're after - to clip the signal asymmetrically before it even hits the clipping stage? PLUS, that's just not a realistic input voltage - 99.9% of signal is getting through here clean.
Ok so... why? Why would a mega corporation approve the addition of 3 components to do the same action that one can do - not a minor thing when you're building thousands of pedals.
The only other major difference on a TS10 is the addition of the 220Ω resistor in line after this buffer stage. Many players prefer this pedal over TS9 and 808 - is it just that one resistor, or is this strange buffer config contributing?
Thanks for reading!

Hi everyone,
I am doing some project with Arduino and Servo motor (MG90S). I want to use Arduino to read the angle of the servo motor controlled by my hand and send that angle to another servo motor, is that possible or any library or algorithm support it?
Thank you very much
