There are two different engines in the MG ZST. An 84kW/150Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine with a CVT and a 115kW/230Nm 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an automatic transmission. The MG ZST uses an 84kW/150Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine in the Core and Vibe models and a 115kW/230Nm 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the Excite and Essence models. Both engines are a shared General Motors / SAIC design.
The MG ZST is an evolution of the MG ZS compact SUV. Subtle design differences make the ZST marginally longer (4323mm vs 4314mm). It is taller due to the use of integrated roof rails and has a slightly wider track for better handling.
The ZST includes a full suite of driver assistance technology across the range and has a larger infotainment screen (10.1" vs 8") and LED lighting front and rear.
