A place to discuss the Meta/Oculus Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro
There's just so much to watch. Your own private movie theater - and the screen can be far, far bigger than any actual in-person movie theater. And you get the best seat in the house at all times. It's just so, so different from watching regular youtube on a monitor.
4k-8k content obviously the most incredible (and there is an infinite amount of it) The 180 degree 8k videos are a sensational experience as well.
You go to your local theater and you can see a couple hollywood movies made recently. This though - Music, gaming, sports, technology, documentaries, nature, interviews, flying, animation, movie clips, older movie clips, really just pick a topic that's on your mind and search and start exploring away and really feel it as a spectacle. Even remasters of older historical footage are popping up in recent years in 4k. This technology will keep growing as well
Anyone else get lost in this app every day?

Hey guys!
We're Peanut Button - a VR studio behind Retropolis 2: Never Say Goodbye - and we need your help.
We're looking for players to give us feedback and share a review of Retropolis 2: Never Say Goodbye on the Meta Store, which is why we decided to organize a giveaway and share 5 keys with the members of this community. The game is already well-received by our core community (it has over 90 reviews), but we're always looking for more feedback, especially from the broader audience on this subreddit.
If you're wondering about how to participate in the giveaway - just leave a comment on this post, and we'll randomly pick 5 users to receive the free keys.
Once you try the game (or if you already own a copy of the game), leave a review on our Meta Store page, send us a screenshot as proof, and we'll send you 1 additional Key to share with a friend.
You can check our game here and leave a review:
Good luck!

I just posted a pic of my Quest 3 and VR2 in the Quest sub, and a bunch of people were like "what's that thing?" (followed up by tools hating on it and getting down voted for saying I enjoy it 🤣)
I was honestly surprised. I didn't think the marketing was so bad that VR community at large isn't even aware of it.
I'm not even sure where I first saw it now but as a PS5 owner the VR2 was on my radar WELL before launch and ended up being my first headset.
I can see why someone who is completely uninterested in VR wouldn't know what it was, but I find it hard to believe that many quest owners don't seem to even realize the VR2 exists? 🤣🤷
I guess I'm living in a bit of a VR2 bubble.
Anyway there's my daily buncha bullshit...

I once played Superhot for 10 hours only breaking for the bathroom and water. By the end of it I hadn’t even noticed that much time had went by. What are some other games you got lost in for hours?

Just finished Moss 1 & 2. Really enjoyed it. Was debating trophy grinding but honestly I cba, enjoyed it and happy to walk away from it for now.
I'm keen to find out what everyone else is playing and enjoying at the moment, potentially looking for a recommendation or two. Thanks

There is a conception that at lower elo, many players don't know how to behave, and are really rude. While at higher elo (2500-2600 and above) players are very nice and polite.
I've recently discovered it only appear like this to weaker players who usually lose to higher ranking players. Once you start to beat the higher ranking players you discover the same shit behavior as with lower ranked ones.
I guess it's human nature, a shity behavior player will not stop his shity behavior just because he moved up in rank, but you will see less of it if you're inferior to him and he usually beats you.
In other words, the way your mother raised you, is the way you are, and your elo rank won't change that. Makes sense no?

A place to discuss the Meta/Oculus Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro
I have two Quest 3; first one manufactured in september 2023, and the last one that I just bought, manufactured in february 2024. I bought it to see if they improved the manufacturing process. I LOVE my quest 3, I just thought that maybe I will get one even better lol.
Ok, where to start... well they didn't. In fact, it is worse. The glare is the same overall, but the mura is slightly worse and the lens distortions slightly worse. HOWEVER, what really shocked me is the comeback of the quest pro IPS GLOW ( or whatever it was called) that you see at the edges of the lenses in quest pro. Pretty much all quest pros suffered from this ( including my quest pro). My first quest 3 ( manufactured in september 2023) has none of it, also my friend's quest 3 manufactured in august 2023 has none of this glow either. This new quest 3 made in february 2024 brought back this annoying glow.
