Voting and Karma:
Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts.
While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps maintain content quality and community standards.

Join the largest social media platform and discover everything that piques your interest!

Reddit used to be a lot more fun to use before the company made the API private and locked us all into their awful app. Navigation sucks, long loading times, bad image quality across the board, loss of tons of options for customization. Constantly swiping to another section of Reddit when I'm just trying to swipe through multiple images in a post. All this and it doesn't seem like they have any interest in making it any better. So stop asking me to rate the app. There it is.

Update: It's been 2 years since this post. I recently redownload the app and I am still having the same problem. Incredible this has not been resolved. - This app never loads if I'm clicking a post that I get through my email. I just stare at the loading screen and typically nothing happens. Or if I do get into the app it tends to send me to my general home page instead of the post I clicked on. It's very annoying. It shouldn't have this much difficulty loading up a specific post.

Stop popping up and asking for a review I wasn't going to give one.. But after the fourth time... The app sucks you can no longer swipe between photos because it keeps trying to take you to some sort of suggested home page instead of my feed. The upvote and down vote buttons show up underneath my on screen buttons so if it is a comment at the bottom I can't upvote or down vote. Super buggy and glitches all the time.. notifications never work reliably. All around horrible app.
