The World Rots
The Great Dark Age has lasted twenty one centuries and the incredible heights of the distant past are mere legends. Ancient Gods allegedly bound by the prime mover of the cosmos hunger for release. Many serve them willingly seeking power, but find only madness. Those that worship the invented gods of humanity are met with silence and whispers of laughter. Bloodlust, massacre, and slaughter has released insidious fiends from the Pits of Annihilation. The so-called Great Church of humanity dances to the whims of these imps. There is no golden savior of humanity coming and if there ever was one then he is dead, but not forgotten. For there are countless millions who have been burned in his name and countless more who willingly praise him. To be alive in such times means risking one’s life for nothing more than a chance to live one more day. To be alive in such times means being crushed under the weight of the Church or to be sacrificed upon the altar of the thirsting Gods. To be alive in such times means being forgotten as another would-be hero powerless to stop the inevitable. These are the stories of those times, of the rotting world, of the dying of the light.
Campaign Specific
Within the gloomy backwater of the Kingdom of Fai'Mordrid something stirs in the shadows. An ancient entity long rumored to exist through regional folklore. It's insidious gargoyles prowl the night and they are hungry. Unfortunately, the ruling house of these lands have all but vanished leaving behind a power vacuum waiting to be filled by someone who lusts for power.
Campaign Information
The campaign started in March and the party is level 3. Unfortunately, we had a player drop due to real life commitments and other personal issues. That being said, we have a strong core of four players and I am looking to bolster the ranks by adding another player or two to the campaign.
There is lots of room to go in this campaign. We are just at the starting point and it will not be that difficult to get you a hook into the group.
About Me
I hope I have caught your attention. I'm ZenDND here on Reddit (35 He/Him) and I have been working on this wonderfully dark homebrew setting for the past six years. My personal interests include running RP focused campaigns, exploring Dark Fantasy as a genre and writing horror.
This is a LGBTQ+ friendly game so please be okay with that.
Campaign
The campaign will take place in my homebrew world. The world has quite a bit of background reading so please be an avid reader! And, ask lots of questions!
However, this world is not just a new setting. It is packaged with a supplement that includes the following:
-New Races, Sub-classes, Class, Feats, Spells, etc.
-New Customization options
-Expanded Crafting Rules; Guild System
Application
If you are interested in playing in the setting then I would ask that you do not come in with a pre-created character. I am only looking for people who are willing to take something new from this supplement and who want to build something truly for this world. Also, please don’t be shy. I want people who can engage with stories and roleplay.
This is an RP focused campaign and there may be multiple sessions in a row with little to no combat.
