FYI: Don't want to rain on anyone parade but I work with energy companies through my job and their forecast for commercially viable fusion energy is in 2050

My work deals with government subsidies to reduce carbon emission and fusion energy is indeed coming but the pace is insanely slow. The cost is out of this world and no company can do it without very heavy long term government support. For example, Shell has told us that they are not planning on having commercial fusion energy available until 2050... so yeah patience lol




How about changing the name of this subreddit to remove the “Un-carrier” from the description?
