New to Kled : Why so many bad matchups? New to Kled : Why so many bad matchups?

Hello, I recently picked up Kled and so far I've had a hard time in every single match up, I know it can be situational and better handled by a more experienced player, but just feels like the champ doesnt really fare well into most options and you're forced into a cheese lvl 1 ign play otherwise it's a survive until 6 lane.

  1. Camille

  2. Fiora

  3. Teemo

  4. NAUTILUS TOP

  5. Ornn

I guess my main questions are:
Is he really viable/meta right now?
Assuming you take TP, when is he really online? power spikes?

A 4Fun Build: The Tower Eclipser A 4Fun Build: The Tower Eclipser

Eclipse -> Defensive boots -> Rhydra -> Hull -> BC -> Bloodmail

Runes:
Conq - Triumph - Legend: Haste - Last Stand
Sorcery - Transcendence - Gathering Storm
Attack Speed - Adaptive Force - Tenacity

The primary purpose of this build is to try and take towers as fast as possible with Hullbreaker synergizing with your W but (attempting to) not stack health that still centers on a bruiser playstyle. As a result, you will primarily want to go for haste and raw AD. Eclipse is your best first item; I don't particularly appreciate rushing Ravenous Hydra because of how Tiamat kind of screws with the wave early, but you can swap the order of Ravenous Hydra and Eclipse if you don't mind that. Eclipse offers many of the same things that Ravenous Hydra does but without the Tiamat effect or passive sustain. Ravenous Hydra provides you with high AD, high ability haste, the Tiamat effect, which is helpful for midgame and later on, and passive sustain. Then, you have the golden item: Hullbreaker. Hullbreaker before 3rd item is relatively lackluster; maybe not that bad if you run Titanic Hydra first, but - if I'm being honest - it's a bait item for Kled. Hullbreaker 3rd is optimal timing, as you have enough power to use it while also having the time to use it. Next, you buy BC afterward because Kled really needs armor penetration, and this item provides it, along with high ability haste. The health is a slightly lousy downside, but it does help Hullbreaker's damage, so it makes up for itself. Anyways, the build at this point, including the fact that you probably already stacked up Transcendence and Legend: Haste, achieves 80 ability haste - or the equivalent of 40% cooldown reduction. 80 ability haste reduces Kled's W cooldown to about 2.5 seconds, which is considerable. Although it's overkill, as the sweet spot for Kled's ability haste is around 45 haste, which puts Kled's W cooldown to 3.33 seconds while, as a bonus, not being a heavy investment, it does a fine job for this build since we will want to spam W as much as possible against turrets. Finally, we end the build with Bloodmail. I chose Bloodmail as the last item mainly due to how it synergizes with the rest of the build; we get 25 AD off of Bloodmail's Tyranny passive, which equates the total item's AD given to about 65, which is around the area we want; it provides HP to combo off of Hullbreaker damage (which is also somewhat of a downside, unfortunately); due to the sustain of Ravenous Hydra and the shielding of Eclipse, keeping up the Retribution passive of Bloodmail is not a difficult task.

Alternate build:

Hubris -> Lucidity boots -> Phydra -> Hull -> LDR -> EoN

Same runes

The build above goes in for more of an assassin playstyle and is thus much squishier (I mean, technically, the other build is squishier if you are running into a lot of max health damage, but I don't have time to go into semantics); if I remember correctly, the armor pen applies to towers, so you will still have about the same damage, perhaps more. I don't run this as often because I predominantly play assassin Kled; I wanted to do something a bit different, so I decided to build akin to a bruiser while trying to strafe away from the typical bruiser Kled problem of having too much HP.

Thanks for reading. As said, this is a 4fun build, but I would like to see your thoughts on it and maybe even your results if you ever run it.

SIDENOTE: Navori Flickerblade doesn't work on turrets. It's probably for the best.

My revelation My revelation

Hello fellow lyzard ridders, i recently found out, how to make your team go in every time you use ultimate. To use this secret move, you need as many people on voice call though.

Now, for the main part. When you go in and use r, you need to scream from the top of your lungs, like you never screamed before. Your warcry can be anything, if you like 40k, you scream for the Emperor/blood for the blood god or helldivers 2 - for democracy. If you only play kled, you scream something about your land idk.

The outcome will vary, but one thing is for sure - your team will go in and you will win. If you live with your parents, they will be angy. If you have a landlord, you will probably get evicted, but you will win the game and thats what matters.

Barrier Exhaust is Funny Barrier Exhaust is Funny

I recommend you guys try barrier/exhaust. It's really funny and you win lvl 1-2 trades against champions like Darius, riven, Camille, ungot etc... basically unkillable lvl 1-2 fights.

lvls 2-6 you can you barrier for staying mounted longer during dives and then when you get ganked, you exhaust the jungle and remount for the kill.

mid-late game, exhaust is really good for catching stray enemy players and for team fights too when you ult in. Really funny combo and when I get the first kill (which I almost always do) you can do a quick "?" and then get in their heads and win lane.

the barrier/exhaust is really good into Darius as well. you lessen the bleed with exhaust and absorb his ultrasound with shield since it's not true damage iirc. Only challenges are maybe true damage champions like flora, Camille, sett and Karen.

Wondering how many games to add Kled to my champ pool

I picked up Kled recently and have been really enjoying him. One issue I’m having though is consistency. I’m struggling on my alt account a couple divisions below my normal elo.

Just curious how many games roughly this champ takes to get a good handle on. Also wondering what everyone’s cs/min looks like? Currently averaging 10kills/8deaths and 6cs/min so definitely dying too much.
