AOM retold looking great, but why os there no blood or battle aftermath? AOM retold looking great, but why os there no blood or battle aftermath?

Loved the beta and while I see things that need fixing, it's pretty clear the game is heading in the right direction. The only thing I'm really missing is..... blood. Don't get me wrong, I thing the graphics are good, but there is no aftermath after a battle. While the original felt lacking in that regard too, it was kinda THERE. Some skeletons, corpses, pruple blood of mythical creatures etc, here you have nothing. Anyone else bothered by this?

"Empires Through the Ages" "Empires Through the Ages"
https://preview.redd.it/empires-through-the-ages-v0-xnobwmddtrcd1.png

In ancient times, our journey starts,
With Age of Empires, the game of hearts.
From Mesopotamia's fertile ground,
Empires rise, as legends sound.

Then came the sequel, Age of Empires II,
Medieval battles, knights so true.
From the Dark Age to Imperial might,
Empires clash in epic fight.

The Age of Empires III did call,
Colonial era, rise and fall.
New continents, resources vast,
Empires built to ever last.

In modern times, Age of Empires IV,
Returns to battles we adore.
With stories old and strategies new,
Empires forged by me and you.

But let's not forget the myths and lore,
Age of Mythology, gods we implore.
Zeus, Ra, and Odin’s might,
Heroes and creatures join the fight.

From ancient sands to future’s light,
Empires rise and fall in night.
A saga told in games of old,
An epic story, worth its gold.

Which AoE to get? Which AoE to get?
Help Me

I've played AoE2 and AoE3 back when I was a lot younger, recently I've been wanting to get back into this game and also play multiplayer but I can only afford one AoE game on steam so I'm not sure which one to buy.

I enjoyed aoe3 mechanics and gameplay the most, though after checking on SteamDB aoe3 has the least amount of active players as compared to aoe2de and aoe4.

Which one should I get if I want to get back into this game?

Completely new into the series Completely new into the series

Hello there. I can't even begin to describe how much I have been enjoying The Age Of Empires series for the last couple days now. I am familiar with RTS games, as it's what I played most of my life as a gamer, but for some odd reason I never actually picked up AOE. I nearly did almost an year, maybe even more ago, but something just stopped me from doing it again. Well, I guess thanks to the Retold trailer and the Beta I'm enjoying so much right now, I finally decided enough is enough and it's time to dive in and it's probably the best decision I ever made as a gamer. I consume non stop AOE content at this point and just having so much fun being around and learning something new. I already managed to find the biggest creators on the scene I guess, but I wouldn't mind any recommendations for all 5 games. Please if there is anyone who covers all games at the same time, even better.

TIL: AoE Mobile is not an RTS and I'm disappointed TIL: AoE Mobile is not an RTS and I'm disappointed

When I heard months ago that AoEM is in development, I was excited to play a good quality RTS on mobile, especially after seeing how AoE4 was implemented on console pretty well. I thought this will do to mobile RTS genre what pubg Mobile did to mobile shooter genre.

I saw today that it is just another P2W low quality "strategy" game. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

One of the longest if not my longest ranked game in aoe2 One of the longest if not my longest ranked game in aoe2

As the title already says this is one of the longest game I think I ever had in a while, most games end up before the 25-30 minute mark and some just go up to 2 hours but god damn 4 hours in game time. I do remember than one video on yt about Andrei and some other guy having a 90h blast with each other. I definetely was brain burned after this one. Just gave up at this point because I needed a big bathroom break.

Map was Amazon Tunnel. Picture is a bit older tho since the map isnt in rota this week.

What were your longest games?

Flip/mirror Definitive UI? Flip/mirror Definitive UI?
Help Me

I've been playing AoE3 for a very long time and my muscle memory is so used to the Classic orientation (minimal left, unit pane right). I do really like the design of the Definitive UI, but neither the Definitive nor Default UIs are laid out like the Classic UI. Everything is reversed and I had a hell of a time trying it out yesterday.

Is there any way, in-game, in the files, or via modification to flip or mirror the Definitive UI?

Doing my research Doing my research
Help Me

So out of no where I started having the urge to play a chill medieval city building game. After some research I found aoe and it seemed perfectly what I wanted. Now the problem was that it had A LOT of different dlc's and parts and stuff but I realized that there are only four main "parts ig?". And after a little bit of research I found out the second one is the one fans like the most.

My question here are these: A. is the second the one most worth buying and the best one?

B. The most important tip to begin for someone like me who never played the game or any similar games ?

Sorry for the long post.
