[–]Wasabi_Noir 121 points122 points  (4 children)

You know who watches burn notice? Harris watches burn notice!

[–]Hollow_RantReview 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Harris know drama!

[–]Lamneth-X1 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Who DVR’s Las Vegas?!?

[–]omnigh0st 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Josh Duhamel doesn’t even DVR Las Vegas.

[–]Lamneth-X1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And you don't get that joke because Josh Duhamel's the star of Las Vegas and NOBODY watches Las Vegas!

[–]FineInTheFireThe Wire 51 points52 points  (2 children)

And Fargo s2 proved he had some villainous chops too.

[–]Tomorrowsup 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He was so good in Fargo

[–]theb9er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really sinister in let him go

[–]cibman 31 points32 points  (1 child)

I heard that he used to be a spy …

[–]viskoviskovisko 31 points32 points  (1 child)

“They need your help, Michael.”

[–]Look_to_the_Stars 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You know spies. Buncha bitchy little girls.

[–]RyghtHandMan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

(Michael Weston voice) To get a reboot going is actually quite simple...

[–]Roadgoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved him in Burn Notice, Sam was golden in it!

[–]hello_goodbye 308 points309 points  (1 child)

Dang, I somehow missed Seasons 1 - 22 of Law & Order: Jeffery Donovan.

[–]cosmic-GLk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Gone too soon.

[–]RacerMex 243 points244 points  (30 children)

Boo!! More Jeffrey Donovan on TV not less.

[–]Mcshiggs 74 points75 points  (29 children)

Hopefully he is leaving this show to start Burn Notice back up. I did watch the movie I think it was Champions, it was a nice surprise to see him in it.

[–]lordxeon 95 points96 points  (24 children)

There’s still time for the USA blue sky cinematic universe crossover event of the decade.

  • Burn Notice
  • Monk
  • Royal Pains
  • White Collar
  • In Plain Sight

Bring everyone back for a multi-movie crossover event. The premises interlock well enough to get a plausible story covering all those characters. And honestly plausibility be damned, we all know we’d watch the hell out of this 6 movie event. And binge all the shows in the lead up.

[–]TheTKnightShow 99 points100 points  (11 children)

Add psych and it would be incredible

[–]Life_Of_Nerds 67 points68 points  (7 children)

You know that's right! 😏 🍍

[–]zykezero 29 points30 points  (6 children)

You hear about Pluto?

[–]Life_Of_Nerds 23 points24 points  (5 children)

That's messed up, right?

[–]shyhispanic09Psych 14 points15 points  (4 children)

I’ve heard it both ways.

[–]Life_Of_Nerds 11 points12 points  (2 children)

What other ways have you heard it?

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_ROTES 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Ghee Buttersnaps aka “The Heater”

[–]fr3akdad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No you haven’t

[–]1llseemyselfout 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Suck it

[–]feverlast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

🎶Suuck iiiit🎵

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you a fan of delicious flavor?

[–]shyinwonderland 38 points39 points  (0 children)

White Collar without Mozzie feels wrong, hopefully they would honor him well.

[–]healthfoodandheroin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A Monk movie comes out next month on Peacock

[–]VAisforLizards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh hell yeah, I'd watch the fuck out of that

[–]healthfoodandheroin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A Monk movie comes out next month on Peacock

[–]ButterscotchPast4812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget law and order criminal intent was on USA back then too.

[–]Roadgoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psych as well

[–]WhatDoesThisDo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All lead up to an eventual confrontation at…Warehouse 13!!

[–]SmokePenisEveryday 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Enjoyed him in Sicario as well. I'd take a whole series around that character

[–]Tundraspin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man his character was gun happy

[–]MRX93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not big on reboots but my god Burn Notice would make me so goddamn happy

[–]bhind45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully he is leaving this show to start Burn Notice back up.

Sounds like it wasn't his choice to leave, says he was let go from Law & Order for creative reasons.

[–]mug3n 31 points32 points  (8 children)

This reboot has been a mess thus far. Just couldn't capture the magic from the first run.

[–]MilitaryBees 21 points22 points  (0 children)

And what’s even more frustrating, for me at least, was that the one thing I enjoyed about the recent series was the chemistry between the two cops. And now they’ve lost that.

[–]Isnotanumber 10 points11 points  (3 children)

What’s frustrating is they tossed a good cast by canceling at season 20. Lopo and Bernard had finally established a great cop pairing, getting out of the shadow of the loss of Lennie Briscoe and some dicey cop pairings. Cutter fit nicely as a replacement for McCoy in the courtroom and Rubirosa may have been the best of the ADA’s. After a rough patch it felt like the show had gotten itself back on track only to be canned.

[–]SuspendedInKarmaMama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cutter was so good.

[–]Jimbobsama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously - late 00's NBC made so many baffling decisions.

[–]zino332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! That last episode with the governor. A great show. They canceled cause they said it was too expensive to shoot in NY

[–]Roadgoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I watched it because I love the original, but I’ve struggled with keeping up with the new series

[–]Kafkaja -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

TV used to be better, especially NBC.

[–]a_can_of_solo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New York has changed so much since the original run. Law and order's peak was the 90s it's very much reflection of the end of the Ed Koch into the Rudy Giuliani era.

[–]karmagirl314 55 points56 points  (3 children)

I used to be a cop, until…

[–]that_is_so_Raven 6 points7 points  (1 child)

You know cops. Bunch of bitchy little girls!

[–]calm_wreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if I commented Fiona’s line I might be put on some sort of list

[–]Familiars_ghost 36 points37 points  (2 children)

Wish him the best, maybe better movie roles. RIPD 2 showed a very silly side. Not bad, but I think he has a lot more in him.

[–]marcuse11 44 points45 points  (9 children)

He makes a good CIA guy. Like in Sicario.

[–]teddy_bear626 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Isn't he one of the Delta guys?

[–]Reciprocity2209 2 points3 points  (2 children)

No, he was Steve Forsing, one of the CIA case officers like Matt Graver.

[–]DokFraz -1 points0 points  (1 child)

To be fair, Forsing was former Delta.

[–]Reciprocity2209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was he? I don’t remember the movie mentioning it.

[–]Aggravating-Yam7917 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Any of those no-nonsense, fuck-you-up, outside-the-law types. His characters in Shot Caller, Sicario, Wrath of Man, Villains etc were a high point for me.

That was a lot of hyphens...

[–]marcuse11 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I love how he is so nonchalant. When Benecio shows up to torture the guy, he just says "We're going to step outside for a minute." also, after killing the guys in the cars at the border, he makes the joke about it "Won't even make the papers in El Paso."

[–]Aggravating-Yam7917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His character Bottles, the prison yard boss in Shot Caller was like that.

'The fact is, we all started out as someone's little angel. And a place like this forces us to become warriors or victims. Nothing in between can exist here.'

[–]spaceforcerecruit 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Did Law & Order at least give him a notice before they burned him?

[–]Kafkaja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No!

[–]therapoootic 42 points43 points  (5 children)

It’s season 23, They have to invent crimes now.

[–]MaestroPendejo 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Law & Order: Animal Crimes Unit

Except that it's the animals commiting crimes.

[–]Life_Of_Nerds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wasnt that just zootopia?

About as plausible as some L&O episodes at least.

[–]YueAsal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't that Paw Patrol?

[–]mug3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's always something they can use from the headlines.

[–]Waterfish3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Law and Order: Jaywalking and public littering edition!

[–]EctoRiddler 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I first became aware of him in the 90’s show The Pretender. Now that was a good show.

[–]attackresist 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wouldn't mind a reboot/sequel for that one!

[–]EctoRiddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

[–]FlamingTrollz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

“Jeffery, there’s a Burn Notice on you, you’re not coming back for season 23.”

[–]ShitDirigible 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Im sure ill get hate for it but he was the worst part of the new seasons. The writing for him was so cliche, and he was so... it was not his best performance.

[–]bhind45 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Yeah, I can't really fathom it, his acting was awful in this for some reason.

[–]Val_Killsmore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm willing to chalk it up to the direction of the show. I didn't like Hugh Dancy's performance either. And I think Anthony Anderson was better in the latter seasons before it went off the air.

I only made it through the first few episodes into the 21st season until I stopped watching it. I've seen every episode of the original 20 seasons. It just seemed like the 21st season couldn't capture the charm of the original seasons.

[–]KatBoySlim 9 points10 points  (5 children)

He played the murderer on an older Law and Order episode. He was a religious guy that killed his daughter’s science teacher for teaching evolution.

[–]Keeganwherefore 2 points3 points  (1 child)

One of the DAs in later seasons also played a murderer in an early season. I don’t remember which one, just remember watching one of the 90’s episodes and going “oh shit”

[–]KatBoySlim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jerry Orbach’s first appearance was as defense counsel for some criminal.

it was so weird to watch.

[–]SuspendedInKarmaMama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was also on an earlier episode playing a guy that got murdered.

[–]Kafkaja -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

Good.

[–]KatBoySlim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, the final twist was that his daughter had caught chlamydia from banging her guidance teacher but had blamed the science teacher. so that was the real reason he murdered the science teacher.

[–]Hbimajorv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The earlier seasons of burn notice really show off his acting chops with him always playing a character and not always "Michael". Dude can do anything. Give me him as the villain in a new season of justified.

[–]Antique_futurist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You haven’t seen Hamlet if you didn’t see Jeffery Donovan doing Shakespeare in the Park in Boston in 2005, where he dog-paddled on a green floaty while wearing water-wings during the whole “Hamlet fakes being crazy” act.

[–]swkennedy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Needs to go back to Burn Notice

[–]Falconman21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Jeffrey Donovan is one of those guys who’s not really a good actor, but is very watchable/entertaining for reasons I can’t quite pin down.

[–]SheriffRoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this means he is too busy with Noah Hawleys Alien series

[–]Past_Contour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s got better things to do hopefully.

[–]OCGamerboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was an unexpected possibility.

[–]zykezero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IS IT BECAUSE HE IS RETURNING TO SPY LIFE?????

[–]EctoRiddler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice surprise when he turned up in Wrath of Man

[–]tfriedlich 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I’m confused, Law & Order is back on TV?

[–]pggp77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The retirement home is in shambles.

[–]RunLikeHayes 2 points3 points  (2 children)

BUM BUM

[–]EAS10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To me it’s more of a DUN DUN

[–]A_Wild_VelociFaptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's all go to coouuurrrt

[–]kain459 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Wait he played a good guy...?

[–]redfricker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

no, he played a cop

[–]Kafkaja -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Why does everyone hate working for Dick Wolf?

[–]SuspendedInKarmaMama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't? Pretty much whenever you see former cast members talk about him, it's in glowing terms.

Julianne Nicholson talked about how accomodating they were when she got pregnant and how they changed the entire show to make it easier on her.

The only one I can think that wasn't happy was Kelli Giddish and she seemed to be pussed about getting fired more than anything.

[–]Lr8s5sb7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s sad when I see a pic of a celeb and headlines with their name that they passed away. My mind has been programmed to initially read it that way.

[–]JustASt0ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait wait he reprised his role as the spy? Was it any good?

[–]DrHuxleyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His best work for me was Fargo Season 2. Absolutely excellent.

[–]Doodlebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok

[–]Upbeat_Cost5583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually upset he didn’t stay on Law and Order for S.23. This new character isn’t so great. Although it’s the first episode , I was hoping Jeffrey would stay on

[–]adkbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody needs to bring him back his replacement is 🗑️
