What is everyone’s theories on why Shanann wanted Chris to quit his job at Longmont Ford and take a big pay cut to work at Anadarko?

He was making a good income as a mechanic and could have made a lot more if he had stayed at the dealership for a few years. He always loved cars and had studied to be a mechanic before meeting Shanann. It seemed like he knew exactly what he wanted to do. Yet he left that job and took at least a $30,000 pay cut to go to Anadarko. When they already were not flush with money and spent more than they brought in.

Shanann clearly enjoyed the finer things in life. So why did she encourage her husband to leave his well paying job to take a lesser paying job? Was it really about carpal tunnel? Was Chris ever diagnosed by a doctor? Did he ever try to get treatment for it before quitting his job?

Just one of the many small details of their life that don’t make much sense to me. …

I have a 13 year old son who has some significant behavior problems. I'm kind of at the end of my ropes with therapists, local schools, IEP's, and everything else. Nothing seems to help. He's now in legal trouble for making threats against a younger child. I don't know what to do.

My grandmother says sending him to the Riverside school in Anadarko might be an option. She send her sons there, and said it helped them. This would have been in the late 60's. I really have negative thoughts towards residential boarding schools, and a friend suggested I reach out to a larger audience and see if anyone has attended, and if they felt safe, cared for, and the school helped them.

If you had negative experiences I am not asking for you to dredge up bad memories, and I am very sorry if that happened. Even if you are willing to say "DON'T DO IT" I appreciate it.

What major company would pay employees an untaxed amount of money and risk civil liabilities avoiding the payroll taxes? I could see a starbucks gift card here and there but the idea of gifting an employee $30, $50, $75 bucks in cash is bizarre.

Who else thinks Shannan and Chris's bank accounts were so full of Le-Vel charges, overdraft fees, bounced check fees and Shannan simply didn't notice him taking out cash from ATMs? Could the whole lazy dog dash to another lazy dog on date night be because the ATM was down and he wanted to pull out $$$, but finally used his card as an act of defiance?

So, I went too far down the rabbit hole with some conspiracy theorists. They were saying that the primary reason CBI went to Wisconsin to interview CW was not to try to learn why he did what he did, but rather to establish where the girls died to help the Rzuceks. It was obvious that SW was dead when CW put her in the car given that she pooped herself, as happens when a deceased's muscles relax, so there are no grounds for suing Anadarko for her death. But there was no evidence about the girls.

Allegedly CW's confession that he killed them by the oil batteries would give the Rzuceks the right to file a wrongful death lawsuit, as the murders happened on Anadarko property, both the ground itself and in an Anadarko-owned vehicle. Some of these Youtubers are saying the Rzuceks settled out of court, and if so, it would not surprise me if Anadarko paid them out of the ass for it to avoid negative press, even though Anadarko had nothing to do with the killings.

It sounds like a total stretch to me, but given how the Rzuceks roll with wanting to squeeze every dime out of their daughter and granddaughters' murders - no matter who it comes from - it could be plausible.

(Note I'm not saying victims are not entitled to compensation from the people who harmed them. CW should be sending his commissary money to them for the rest of his life. The fact that they won't get a big paycheck from him sucks but at least the responsible party is held accountable. I do not think it is morally acceptable to blame innocent parties, but that's how it is in the US. If you have a trampoline or swimming pool and an underage turd of a kid breaks through your fence and breaks its leg or drowns, you're responsible even though said turd kid was committing a crime and did not have permission to be on your property).

Berkshire will recieve 100,000 shares of cumulative perpetual preferred stock with a value of $100,000 a share.

The conglomerate also gets a warrant to purchase up to 80 million shares of Occidental at an exercise price of $62.50 a share.

The preferred stock will accrue dividends at 8% annually.

In the discovery doc on pg 610, there is an interview with Robert Merry, an Anadarko employee that worked with and knew CW. The synopsis says the following:

"Agent GALBRAITH interviewed ROBERT MERRY by phone on 08/23/2018 at 1053 hours. ROBERT met CHRIS WATTS roughly two years ago through work at Anadarko. CHRIS was ROBERT’s team’s rover. CHRIS also did computer work in the office in the absence of “IOC” staff that worked on computers. ROBERT does not know what IOC stands for. They look at computers to determine things about well production. CHRIS would look at the computer and then have someone go check out a well, if perhaps the production was down. CHRIS worked mostly in the field. He was always a rover and worked as an extra hand to employees, such as ROBERT, who had an assigned route. As a rover CHRIS was not dedicated to a certain route. He would talk with the work group to see what help was needed where and then work there. CHRIS was a Field Operator and would cover routes as relief to those that were off work or could not cover their own routes."

After a little bit of googling, I believe IOC stands for , but I could be wrong.

Also, in Josh Rosenberg's interview with Agent Galbraith 8/24, when asked if asked what he knew about CW’s job, he said that CW told him that he worked in the oil field and he "monitored and inspected systems pertaining to the oil fields." (pg 622)

There are a couple of things this brings to mind:

1. The first thought I had was of the picture that CW took of his work laptop while at Cervi 319 on the morning of the murders at 7:18 AM, before his coworkers showed up. From discovery pg 1926, " Watts took a photograph of his lap top screen presumably sitting in his truck. The Meta data confirms Watts was ot the Cervi coordinates. The image is apparently only in thumbnail format and enlarging it blurs out the writing on the loptop screen". I've always wondered why he would take this picture. It's one of a few pictures (like the pic of the chicken on the grill and the refrigerator temp picture) that have never made sense to me. I wonder if he was taking a picture of IOC data about the Cervi 319 well after he had placed the girls in the tanks? Was he taking it for himself? Was he taking it to share with an accomplice?

2. The second thought has to do with the fact that on 7/26/18, while at work at 11:50 AM, CW did a Google search for "G.I.T." (pg 1898). is a system to manage software code repositories, almost always used when multiple developers are collaborating together on software in order to keep track of the various versions of the sofware created as each developer works on and checks in different parts of the code. This search by CW always surprised me because I never understood him to be a technical person, but this statement from Robert Merry makes me wonder otherwise now. I also wondered what code he could be accessing or working on and who would he be working with? Some have speculated that it was code to somehow manipulate the Firestick he got from Troy McCoy to do various sinister things. After reading this today, I'm wondering if he was working on something (with a collaborator/accomplice) that would perhaps manipulate the tank levels showing in IOC after the girls were placed in the tank? If so, what if that picture of the computer screen out at Cervi 319 might have been his way of sharing with his accomplice/collaborator whether or not the code worked?

This is all super speculative, I know, but interesting to think about.

Karen Silkwood was an employee of Kerr-McGee, in Oklahoma, the 1970’s. She accused her employer of poisoning her with plutonium. She was in the process of exposing Kerr-McGee for it’s suspected nefarious activities, and coverup, when she was killed in a suspicious automobile accident , (a suspected homicide, by many) in which her car ran off of the highway - inexplicably.

Karen’s 1974 death occurred during the midst of her activism, and just before she was about to “officially” expose her employer, Kerr-McGee for numerous health, safety and hazard violations.

Posthumously, Karen Silkwood (her estate) won a civil suit against Kerr-McGee for damages, including punitive damages, ending in a settlement where Kerr-Mcgee agreed to pay her estate $1.38 million in damages.
Kerr-McGee, however, would never admit any wrongdoing.

In 1983, the biographical film, Silkwood, was released. It told the story of her time at Kerr-McGee, and her tragic and suspicious 1974 death. It received critical acclaim.

In 2006, Anadarko bought Kerr-Mcgee for $16.4 billion in cash. In 2014, Anadarko was ordered to pay $5.15 billion, toward designated clean up sites, as part of its previous acquisition of Kerr-Mcgee (after, Kerr-McGee had spun off its subsidiary, “fall guy” company, Tronox).

My company just got an email stating that e-cigs are now banned on all Anadarko rigs due to "several unsafe incidents" in recent weeks. Can anyone offer any incite into what exactly happened to bring them to this decision?

Also, does anyone think other companies will start making similar decisions?

Interesting how much M&A has heated up lately. We probably all agree we are late cycle but elevated M&A activity is historically one of those indicators.
