All shall perish are so important to deathcore as a whole. For one they dropped one of the earliest deathcore albums with hate,malice,revenge, they also continued to pioneer the sound through future albums. The cost of existence is the first deathcore album to tackle politics heavy and added a lot of the nu metal influences that would blow up in the genre. Even after that their later albums began to incorporate subtle blackened elements which is what’s big in the genre today. People talk about this band for sure, but not enough. They should be held as one of the most pioneering deathcore bands in the scene.

I grew up on metal, and once I heard Hate malice revenge, I know longer appreciated anything else because of the raw, straight forward truth ASP put forth on this album. “Fuck your indoctrination It destroyed all my hopes for you as i fell away away Mislead and forced to serve for your crooked faith Bitter from your violent ways Anger filled my every day Rejected the notion of a god or a hell Renounced your religion ill rely upon my self Oppression was not the life for me I could never follow blindly” Dystopia is the only band I know of that was more real than this. So with the recent spike in blackened deathcore, I’d love to shine some light on how amazing this band was. When the price of existence came out, that introduced me to deathcore along with despised icon. But, as time has moved I recognize that album as the one the lead to this new wave of deathcore and they never get the recognition they deserve. If you’ve never listened to that album I highly advise you do so.

Not to ruffle any feathers here, but i kind of wish SS didn’t just pick Eddie for their vocalist, ASP was GOATED, and it kind of bums me out we won’t hear from them again, unless they start over with a new vocalist ( which won’t probably happen), idk i just really miss ASP 🤣🤣 thoughts?

they are the ones who really got me into deathcore. was super sad when they broke up. i still consider them one of the best of this genre. i just loved how they weren't over the top with the breakdowns. god, they were so good

It’s crazy to me that this album was released in 2006. There are so many different sounds in this record which are still popular in modern deathcore, this album truly is a masterpiece.

i enjoy some of the become the hunter and you must die songs, but i feel eddie went way harder on all shall perish’s songs than with his suicide silence albums. i don’t even think that it’s because it’s so different (to me) than mitch’s suicide silence, i just feel like he delivered way more intensity with all shall perish and overall better music with his first band. what do you guys think?
