Since the server closed until global release tomorrow, as a softlaunch player, though I'll write some tips and thoughts for anyone who interested to try the game..

**Q: Will there any new server for global?**A: It should. There is no definitive statement from dev, but couple of hint indicated they will create new server for global launch

**Q: Is this game friendly for non-spender?**A: I would say yes (may be vary by your definition). ALL the units in game is acquirable via shard farming and free daily random SSR shard, but since star up is giving huge power spike to your unit, and the Arcana mode where you farm the shard is time-gated, it would take some time for you to be fully maximized your unit.

Also you can buy some character with $ (Phoeboe with $1 pack and Kasumi $100 pack), it only one time though, you still need to farm dupe/shard for star up.

**Q: Does this game time consuming?**A: Definitely NO. This game is perfect for your side game. The game has x1 & x5 sweep features with stamina (no sweep ticket needed). You only need to clear a stage once with 3-stars. The challenge is to clear the stage with 3-stars, some stage is hard enough and need proper composition. I would say to clear all daily only need 10-15 min, but the game gives you 3x free stamina a day at spesific time, so you still need log in occasionaly to collect those bonus.

**Q: How to reroll?**A: Create guest account > Clear tutorial until you able to collect summon ticket in mailbox > summon on your desired banner > dont like what you get > Account setting > Create new guest account. Approx 5 min for each reroll.

**Q: How many Banner available at launch?**A: Here is the thing, Illusion Connect have unique banner system. The banner is bound to account and time-gated according to your account creation date. That mean you dont have the same banner that older account has. I dont have any information regarding the banner schedule for global release, If it follow soft-launch banner schedule, then refers to this for the complete banner schedule up to this day. Each banner last for 7 days.

**Q: How is the rate?**A: Regular & Rate-up banner is 2% for SSR and pity at 100 pulls (Too bad the banner is double unit rate-up, you have 50% to not get your desired unit, huh).Selected Banner is 3% for SSR, Selected banner is only contain 1 rate-up and 3 other selected SSRs (granted, it's more expensive, but guarantee 1 SSR in the first 20x pull, and guarantee rate-up unit on the 70x pulls)

**Q: What to reroll?**A: I strongly recommend DO NOT reroll on beginner banner as it only contain 3 free unit that you will get later from Arena, guild, and expedition, also beginner banner wont go anywhere until you pull it. Instead pull on Radiant Banner Or Miyuki/Kiraya Banner if available. Top Picks are:

1. Miyuki (Defitely the best unit, as she reduce the opponent's rage meter whenever she takes action), You get her for free at your 8th day though, but again, dupe is important, so getting dupe Miyuki is never wrong.

2. Maki (Strong Single target, also cute)

3. Yuffie (high-cost unit killer, Team-wide AOE damage dealer)

4. Anna (Heal goes brrrr)

5. Selena (3 hits invicibility)

6. Kiraya (tank with Column wide shield)

**Q: Does SSRs are everything?**A: No, you better not underestimate lower rarity. Some SRs and Rs are better. Notable SR are Pan, Kiria, Chiyo, Amon. And as for Rares are Rie, Mary, Polly.

**Q: What to spend with your gems?**A: Save for 10x hero summon. Time-gated banner mean you can planning way ahead your gems spending to which banner you want to spend on. Most people will save for Maki selected banner on the 4th days of your account OR Kasumi Selected banner that you will get on your 18th days. Selected need selected summon ticket, you get 1 free everyday from clearing daily also can be bought with 400 diamond. If you aim for Kasumi, save everything until you able to guarantee 70x pulls.

Also, it's not a bad idea to contribute to guild with diamond, as it gives you currency to pull on contribution banner to get guarantee SSR Nicola

**Q: How is the gear system?**A: Gear has N,R,SR,SSR grade. N & R only give unit raw stats, SR and SSR have skill & traits addition. Dont worry there are no random-generated substats, though you need duplicate to level it up above certain level (lv20 & lv40). So generally, SR gear are better on early on as it easier to obtain the dupe. Exploration and Arcana mode is where you farm the gears, and it also give you currency to buy universal-dupe for your SSR gear at gear exchange.

**Q: Is there anything else that I need to Know?**A: - Join guild as fast as possible and contribute daily. It will give you contribution point for you to perform contribution summon.- You might get overwhelmed by the ammount of resource you get at first, but it will drain fast as you level up. Especially the crystal, you need that a lot for upgrading the leader.- Upgrade your muscipulla (house) and the furnitures as soon as it available, higher level mean you get more resource per hours.- Spam Arena whenever you have the ticket. Arena is where you farm diamond, 3 wins give you 10 diamond, 10 wins nett you 30 diamond total.- Do not spend your Blue mirror crystal for star up random unit, Its rare and you need them a lot for star up your key unit.- You dont need force yourself to 3- stars story stage all the way. Just clear the story as high as you can just to unlock all features and game mode.- Only spend affection item on a unit that really like it (indicated by double heart)- Join official discord. There is a lot of helpful people that will answer your question. Just to make sure read #guide #faq #help channel and pinned message before asking any question.

The game is hyped right now . But there are few problem about the game I want to share . Game isn't p2w and it isn't f2p friendly eather , the game is the best for light spenders(offering permanent vip ) and thats the main problem . Game has zero potential for whaling , getting everything maxed out costs less than getting 1 or 2 character. Maxed in other gacha games . So when whales cant spend because there's nothing to spend for and dolphins wont spend cuz they can have max chars in few weeks with what they already spend what will happen? the game will have really low income after few weeks. What devs do? They make new severs so they can have more new players who think they can be in top players and even compete with whales ( isnt it a dream?) With only spending a few dollars. What happen to old servers? Well devs just leave them for their own , right now a few servers have problems not getting any new contents they haven't received any new banner for weeks and the normal banners are bugged saying they are limited for 303day !!!! and devs are refusing to give any answers . And also they are merging servers ,15 server for Tw . So if they want to merge this amount of servers in just a few weeks ! Wth are they still releasing 1 new server every week for every region ? Having that all said I think the game don't have any future in it's current state .

First of all let me preface this by saying that I am a day 1 player of IC and a dolphin, so I'm definitely invested in this game.

For those who have never played IC, or those who played IC and then dropped it soon after few months, the game was considered to be pretty fish/dolphin friendly. Back then, the only so called "paywall" was this season pass thingy, where you had to buy it in order to get a character not obtained anywhere else, and it was pretty cheap for $10, good value, so not that much complain. Eventually they even give one copy for free for the free version of season pass, and all seem well.

Fast forward several months, and the game has become the scummiest predatory p2w game that, if anyone knows, will never install the game in the first place. Basically spat on old players and devaluing their investment, hard. Here's some of the game's recent "features":

- They added a new real time pvp mode, and it quickly become extremely p2w for various reasons below. Oh, and it gives very juicy rewards, UR materials and universal shards, more lucrative rewards than the average pvp in most gachas (which usually just give "diamond" or equivalent mostly).

- They added a new gear rarity called UR. We all know how bad it is for companies to add new rarity, like one big company who become infamous for it in this sub that I'm sure everyone is aware of. Well, sucks to be all these people who gear summoned SSR weapon in the past. And WORST OF ALL, they have the audacity to lock most of it behind PAYWALL of 100 USD pack. Yes, there will never be another way to get this limited OP thingies other than paying during the sales period.

- The said paywall OP UR gear of 100 USD is also time limited, and it's release frequency is at least weekly. The staff of Superprism and mod are DEFENDING it, calling it to be normal for gacha games, and how pay to be stronger is a normal thing. This is why all of you thinking of trying Superprism new game should do yourself a favor and think twice before spending, they are not above doing this kind of thing.

- They add a new currency called elementium. It is basically a vip level in everything but name, most packs you buy will give you this. Almost no chance for lower tier (even only 1 level) to ever beat someone from higher tier because it gives a ton of global buffs to everyone (doubled in pvp). You can get for free daily in little quantity (like some game that let you get vip point for free) but you need a ton to max and basically you will never beat a spender. Oh and remember when I talk about devaluing your spending? Even if you spent 1 billion dollar before this "vip system" is added (but not spend anymore), you won't be able to beat the guy who merely spent 100 USD after the system is added, because his VIP tier is higher than you and you will get stomped even if your team is maxed. Naturally you don't get any of this new vip points from past spending.

- Powercreep. Normally this is not a big issue in games that are pretty clear there will be powercreep from the beginning, but this game didn't use to have that. The latest battlepass unit is the most broken thing, basically revive your last dead units with full rage (so it can ult immediately) and buff it. There was a period where powercreep in nonexistent as new units released are balanced, but recently they just release good ones for some quick cash.

- Collab gacha requiring different ticket to summon, so you can't use the select ticket you have saved up. You might be thinking, what's wrong? It's collab, it's special. Except that it's not even a new collab, it already ran long time ago in TW and KR server with normal select ticket and not a different one.

- Stealth fix/nerf and not acknowledging bugs officially (let alone compensating). There is this UR called "spinning top" that seemed good from the description but it is bugged so it doesn't work. Most people doesn't know unless they're discord regular really. Unless one of the vet told you, you won't ever know this and waste investment on this useless junk (to make it worse, this is one of the free supposedly "good" UR so most unaware people will invest in this junk). And guess what, the dev said they have trouble fixing because it is old code, it remain unfixed for months, and unacknowledged (this is one of the other reason of the speculation I mentioned later). Overall really shady practices.

So there you have it, the so called "pretty f2p" pve game (at one point was this sub's darling) only is now one of the most predatory gacha game I have ever seen. This is worse than costume with stats or many other p2w fiasco. It's a classic bait and switch and serve as a reminder to be wary to get invested in games made by unknown/new dev/publisher.

Some people said that developer changed hands from old dev (dpstorm) to wanmei (Perfect World Entertainment), might be company acquisition? Either way the monetization switched 180 degree reminiscent of typical extremely p2w wanmei mmo games, oh and also do yourself a favor and stay away from anything that is touched by wanmei. They make netease look like decent folk in comparison probably.

I found this picture on a Chinese forum. There is evidence that there is currently a stand-alone game. It's just that we didn't find it.

I've been having a blast with the game and they have been giving out soooo many starting gems. But like all games, these premium currency sources tend to dry out later on in the game.

With that said, I've heard that this game "died" in some other countries? Does anyone know if this game eventually just becomes straight P2W or if this is a game that can last long term?

I played this game for 110+ days, I almost immediately saw some bad practices from devs, thought about dropping the game but stayed in the end, because I had some hope in HQ to rectify, but I guess it's enough already, but instead of just silently stop playing the game I decided to make a last post for those that thinks starting playing IC it's a good idea.

Illusion Connect is really F2P friendly, devs are the most generous I have seen, just look at their pity, ssr pity at 20 and guaranteed up character at 70 summons.

Lies. An authentique f2p friendly game will give you a good chance of getting the featured unit/s each time one is released, I have played several games with true f2p friendly spirit to know that (currently I'm playing one of those, it cures my soul). Now thing is in Illusion Connect you don't get enough summon tickets to hit guaranteed in every banner, period. If you really want one character you need to skip banners, and doing so would mean sacrificing leader passive skills, since you need to own 80% of a certain class to activate the mentioned passives (in a way forcing you to pull unwanted units just to keep the bonuses). And even if you get the ssr you want with 70 tickets you are left alone with a character with only 3 stars that can't be used because you need at least another 2 duplicates to be usable and 4 to max out. Btw if you decide to whale max stars it can cost you up to 500$ depending on luck.

You can farm shards in arcana duh, you don't need dupes at all.

Sure, select characters give you one shard a day in arcana, it's extremely rare to get 2 even less 3, on average you'll get 45-50 shards a month, have fun farming for 3-4 months to be able to start using your character (in that time another 3-5 heroes would have been released, you just can't keep up).

Devs aren't greedy, you have a light spender friendly shop, best value for your money compared to other gachas.

Yes, only at the beginning (first month or two). Nowadays the value keeps dropping, they don't sell the best packs anymore, you get less and less for your money with each day, also they nerfed Battle Pass so hard that it's not worth anymore. Speaking of BP, two very good units remain behind a paywall while KR and JP already started featuring these heroes on banners.

Illusion Connect still has the best QoL of every gacha.

Not really, sure, infinite swipe/raid (i.e; without tickets or any other restriction) to deplete your stamina is nice and all, if not for the fact that we have things that need to be played manual yes or yes. Dream Expedition keeps scaling up infinitely to stupid levels, at hight CP you need to keep retrying looking for the perfect run vs Kiraya world D and/or Miyuki world E (10-30 tries, or even more), arcana is a chore that wastes 20 minutes of our precious time, (all for 7 ssr shards when lol rng decides to spit on your face). Dream Arena starts being non fast challenge friendly when you hit 450k - 500k since you start getting paired with top whales or even #1 player of your server, let's not mention ultra difficult miracle stages. Before unlocking afk mode for Exploration this can be the worst experiece I have had in a gacha game (getting exploration points it's a rng fest), and even with afk mode enjoy tapping your phone 6 times every 4 minutes 10 or 20 times, not the best way to waste one and a half hour.

Bad RNG equipment.

Yes, stats are always the same (thanks god, that's the only thing the game needs to go full retard) but ssr equipments have a secret tier (T1 to T3, T3 being the most rare), T3 equipments are extremely difficult to get, in more than 3 months I still yet to own a dragonhowl or butterfly hunter (the best weapons for the attack type units), good luck getting any of those, and no, I'm not the only one, just do a quick search on discord and you'll see how much people are pissed about this. But if you really want to own one you can buy some at the shop when they are on stock. ~wink~ ~wink~

Other things to take into account.

GL usually get compensations (for bugs or maintenance) and random gifts valued at 200 gems while other regions up to 2000, and even free selected characters. In new selected banners off-rate units in GL sucks (always the same 3-4 useless units over and over again in cycle) while other regions get the powerful heroes, I still remember that time KR got Miyuki+Kasumi as off-rate heroes while in GL we got Trashwaya for the 99th time. Speaking about "99", GL got screwed with gnosis/contrib/honor banners, and frankly speaking I would feel bad for all GL players when these banners rotate again, I can see it already "Ashwaya, Diana & Vivian" banners (unless they decide to put once again Kiraya and Barinas, heck even Camille would be nice for a change).

And all of this will keep happening get accustomed to it, I mean 3 days ago KR or JP (I don't remember) announced their login gifts to celebrate Lunar new year and let me tell you they are awesome, but dunno if GL will get something, also JP announced their valentine's day gifts, I doubt GL will get the same, would like to be proven wrong tho, but devs have a record of bullying GL, not much hope rly.

Now not long ago they introduced UR equipments, have fun adquiring them since half of those are from real money shop only, they'll be yours for $100 iirc. Oh, I forgot something, the emblems used to enhance these equipments are also sold in packs, these devs are geniuses. And the free ones are the less fun, as f2p you can't even enhance 'em properly since we barely get emblems for free and some are behind almost impossible tasks, like maxing the new ssr character, I already talked about maxing ssr characters, and no, don't listen to the mod that keeps saying you can max the character with 150 or so tickets like him, rates aren't that good, I call that bullshit.

No wonder TW closed already and KR is following behind, because in case you don't know, KR is dropping in revenue by 50% each month since 2 months ago, thanks to all these bad decisions devs keep taking and some controversies too, like; a) one of the CN IC artist said some insensitive/controversial things about koreans and b) nerfing the favorite leader of KR players to encourage whaling. GL dropped 30% compared to the previous month, going from 6m in the first 12-14 days to 800k in 31 days must hurt, huh?. I can keep going, surely I forgot several other screw ups but I guess this is enough.

Lastly the community it's really toxic, you can't say anything wrong about the game on any of the official platforms without having the white knights attacking you, I even started to think that devs or publisher have paid bots assigned to the task of defending the game 24/7, and they are not even good at it, they say the most absurd things to justify all these bad decisions.

Just to end this topic, apparantly dp storm (the devs) are behind all these bad decisions, at least according to CM on discord, according to what they say Superprism is more like a bad localization partner than anything else, without much control or say on things. Dunno about it, but doesn't matter in the end, game passed the point of no return for all servers and GL got the short straw. That is all, sorry for the wall of text and my bad english.

It looks like the developers have been making some moves to be less reactive about our community overall (although they can still do updates with the game with pure information live shows), and some greedy moves touching low spender/F2p player's benefit.

This includes, but not limited to:

1: Change F2P banner schedule compared to the Korean version (from PVP medal, guild medal and expedition currency). This will not only happen in Pan server, but also happen in All US server:Fact check:

This means all the f2p players will have the same copy for those 3 SSRs over the year, for more than 20 copies, more than anyone would need. This makes F2P players a lot harder than the Korean players.

JP server is having over 380 days on the F2P banners:

For me, this is a cross-evidence.

However, my intention is to let the developer know what we want, so if they go back to giving us updated banners, I would be happy, and my goal would be achieved for this issue.

However, this isn't the end of the story.

2: Ignored recent bug reports from players, letting the game to be not fair.

The last problem they resolved was the 1st battle pass bug, and they just tend to igore everything after that.

For example, during the ten saint tournament was taken down for rework, all the players that hit the auto-register button can receive ten saint tournament rewards for 10 days compared to most players who didn't hit the auto-register button. Players have reported this bug, but this was just got ignored. This result in a small fraction of players getting extra rewards for 10 days compared to other players.

I posted my suggestion video (with only facts and suggestions) in official discord, trying to get some attention from developers. Although a lot of players have shown the same concern, the Mods in official discord just REMOVED my post, without any explanation or justification.

I don't know what kind of action this is, but it really annoys me and let me have more concerns regards on if the developer will ever listen to us.

Also, I want to mention the point of this post and my video is still to HOPE the developer can listen to the players again (they fixed the 1st BP bug problem very fast, as well as the Halloween event), and MAKE SURE we don't get the 1-year F2P banner. If we can follow the KR server, all good. I will be happy as well.

I am also not asking anyone to leave the game. I personally enjoy this game a lot, and I spent plenty to support the developers. The fact I am spending my time on this issue is to hope it can get back to the right track.

Hello everyone. Sorry for the long post. I came here to hear what you guys have to say about a few things.

Apparently the jp, kr and tw versions of the game has some differences with the global version, and that's normal I guess, nothing new here, but there is one difference that caught my attention, there is one character named "Hachi Shiki" that can only be acquired in global via a purchase (Battle Pass), for the versions mentioned above you get one copy for free (doing a few easy missions on a daily/weekly basis). Btw, this character is a special one, very good in all game modes if that matters. Also, this free copy could have helped even the people that bought her in global, for those that don't know, this game works with a shard system and buying battle passes does not guarantee a full star character, you still need to farm some shards on a certain game mode to max the purchased character.

For me this felt weird, I don't play a lot of gacha games (currently 3, and tried at some point like a dozen), and I have never witnessed something like this, so I decided to make a post on the IC subreddit to talk about this, and the feedback that I got there wasn't what I expected, spoiler; I got called "foolish", "ignorant" and even accused of wanting everything for free without paying (without knowing if I have puchased the character or not), and let's not talk about downvotes (not that I care, really).

So, I thought "what if they are still in the honey moon phase?", superprism has been pretty generous until now, maybe they feel uncomfortable asking "why we didn't got her for free too?", maybe the people from here can offer an unbiased opinion. I really want to know if I'm the weird one for raising an eyebrow when I heard about this. Anyways, is common practice to get paywalled content on global versions while other regions get it for free? Is common practice to just accept it without even discussing it? If the games you play does not do this, what would you think if it starts happening?

New Global release of illusion connect is coming soon. ANyone already tried it? It seems pretty fun. Does anyone know if global release is just a new server on oct 22nd? If you are playing now in soft launch, is it a complete new server or uses same server?
