EDIT: I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GOEMANS APPLIANCES FOR HELPING MY PARENTS GET A NEW FRIDGE. THANK YOU GOEMANS. THERE ARE STILL KIND PEOPLE, AND GOOD BUSINESSES IN OUR CITY!

My parents bought and paid in full for a fridge in June. They used the Bad Boy Ancaster location. They were told 4 to 6 weeks before delivery. They have been calling and showing up questioning the extended wait, always an excuse. Two days ago they went in and were promised delivery this week. The manager came out and told my 80 year old father not to refund, that he gave his word it coming this week.....nice guy

Yesterday the company filed for bankruptcy, website down, store closed. They are out almost $3,000.00. Anyone else in this same boat? What are your next steps? My parents are seniors, I am trying to help them, and totally pissed off by this.

Apparently Leon's has been shifty with delivery pushbacks too. I wouldn't trust any furniture stores right now with ordering, buy it in stock!

What’s going on at Ancaster cineplex?

I went a few weeks ago to see Oppenheimer and then last night to see Barbie.

The first time, they had a supply issue for coke and candy products. Okay fine.

Then last night the same issue is still happening? Pop syrup is at 99% of any restaurant and shouldn’t be complicated to get.

Candy is still easily available at the grocery stores I go to.

How can a major company like cineplex be having “supply” issues.

Very weird.

Does anyone know what happened at the Ancaster Fair on Saturday night?

We just got home from the Ancaster Fair a while ago…

…earlier tonight, right around the demolition derby starting, there was a huge fight between what seemed like dozens of people, some of whom appeared to know each other?

What seemed like the entire security detail got nvolved quickly, and a lot of folks were jumping fences and running away. We didn’t stick around and noped out to the parking lot.

Curious if anyone knows more, or if others on the sub happened to be there?

I'm thinking of seeing Dune Part 2 sometime next week, and I'm looking for the best theater experience. Cineplex online gave me options of:

  • ULTRAAVX

  • D-BOX

  • 4DX

  • IMAX

  • SCREENX 270 DEGREES

Does anyone have any experience seeing any movies in these formats here in Hamilton/Ancaster?

I don't know I just thought I'd never see such stupidity myself in Canada. You claim to be pro life, but only advocate for a clump of cells, not the thousands sick with a deadly virus.

Not the mother. Not those on the street around you. Not any immunocompromised individuals. Not anyone but themselves. One even had a kid with them, without a mask. Really? It's a pandemic at least do it safely.
