Is this the end for The Curse of Oak Island?

The absolutely pitiful season 11 finale was a throw-away episode. I could go to the beach with a metal detector and discover in a day more treasure than they have found in 11 seasons. The presentations we are asked to consume are more and more just a remix of previous shows. If I have to endure one more historic clip I have seen in every-single-episode I am going to lose it.

There are only about 10 minutes of new content per episode. There is nothing left to sell. It was a fun ride while it lasted but The Curse of Oak Island just jumped the shark. I would not be surprised to see a cancellation notice coming soon.

Any major discovery seems to be “just an episode away”. They just keep launching rockets… Are they just let killing time at this point? Did Brandon just buy the ranch to draw out a television series? If they’re serious about finding anything, it’s time to bring in an excavation team. If they’re concerned about the cost, I’m sure there are plenty of people who would contribute to the cause.

There is an island in the North Atlantic that's so full of shit it squishes when you walk on it.

Besides the hair color the surprised look of reaction on everyone in the fellowship and all the side stories that mean nothing at all. I think Spooner is the biggest fraud on the show.

Once again it's the island of ADHD let's look here oops let's look over there oops there's a squirrel oops let's go look at that oh let's dive in the water what the fuck is going on nothing. Now let's drill more or holes this is really interesting put a hole in the ground walk away put another hole in and walk away use the surveyor to make a grid that means nothing. But let's go to lot 5 there's Stones over there oh and there's coins maybe Roman coins maybe some Sumarian coins who the fuck knows.

So next week since the Laginas took 2 hours of my life this week they owe me actually they owe me 10 years. Anyway my time is valuable so next week during the show I have scheduled a root canal and a colonoscopy without any anesthetic. My dentist is of Portuguese descent and the colonoscopy will be done by Templar.

Hi everyone, Rick and Marty Lagina here. You might know us from HISTORY’s “The Curse of Oak Island”, where we’ve spent the past 2 years digging up Oak Island in Novia Scotia looking for buried treasure. We’ve been fascinated by the island’s 220 year old history since we were kids, and look forward to chatting with you. We’ll be back at 12PM EST to answer any questions, talk theories, so ask away!

Proof: http://imgur.com/ppNQN1v

EDIT: We want to thank you all again for your great questions and support. Signing off, got to check out the Rick and Morty show. You can catch us on HISTORY’s The Curse of Oak Island on Tuesdays at 9/8c."

I know the book came out a few years ago but I just got around to reading it. It’s a very well done book that’s worth reading for anyone remotely interested. The author is not working for the producers of the show. He presents the clear and conclusive evidence against the most nonsensical ideas that the show has discussed. Most of the book describes the long history of the search. And it is a crazy story. That’s the sort of thing they should talk about more on the show. And the feud between Blankenship (and his partners) and Nolan is way wilder than we were led to believe. There is some interesting behind the scenes stuff about the show and some context for things we saw. I really enjoyed the book, and I think the show is very silly. I highly recommend it. (If this was already discussed a lot when it came out, sorry)

I'm guessing Carl will have his motel room today so he can watch his show....he will most likely say he worked all night until 4:30 and will ask for donations for shoes...cleaning supplies...and all the other bullshit he feels is our job to pay for because he makes being homeless his whole personality. 🙄

The Curse of Oak Island show received $3.4 million (CDN) funding for season 10 from the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund

Nova Scotia Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage Film funding announcements

https://cch.novascotia.ca/sites/default/files/inline/documents/ftpif/forms-for-production-assisted-under-previous-guidelines/nsfpif-approved-productions.pdf

August 31, 2022 Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage announces the following approved productions through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund (NSFPIF)

Documentary TV Series, The Curse of Oak Island Season 10, produced Tell Tale International Inc., has been approved for a funding commitment of $3,414,011 based on eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $11,572,918

This equates to 29.5% funding of Season 10 by the NSFPIF. The current exchange rate is 1 Canadian Dollar = 0.74 United States Dollar, so the funding commitment was approximately $2.526 million US based on eligible Nova Scotia expenditure of $8.564 million US.

What is interesting here is that Nova Scotia Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage is the same organization that designated areas on Oak Island as off limits in 2021 after Archeologist Laird Niven dug up some shards of ancient Miꞌkmaq pottery.

Could it be that the Lagina's and their partners had no choice to abide by the areas designated as off limits otherwise they might risk losing their NSFPIF funding?
