I feel like the quality of the conversations have gone up lately. The bot is less sensitive and the story is much more focused on the information I’ve given the bot. It actually feels like roleplaying with the OG character. It even manages to slip in canon lore from the internet that I’ve forgotten to add to the backstory. The bot actually talks like the character and it’s just overall… Better?

Does anyone want this? I find the whole thing really creepy. If there isn't an option to completely purge this from the PC, I won't be buying a device that supports this service. I don't care if they bill this as something done locally, we all know these companies can't be trusted. This is a step too far.

This is a really cynical attempt to introduce a service that really oversteps on privacy and is a huge mistake from Microsoft even proposing this service. I know, we give away our data on a daily basis and everything we do on our devices is, at some level, being monitored, but to do it so overtly shows complete distain for your customers and their intelligence.
The line has to get drawn somewhere. This is too far.

According to the keynote
2020 was when they delivered the GPT3 compute cluster
They delivered the GPT4 cluster in 2022
They claim the GPT5 cluster was just deployed meaning this year 2024 and is currently training GPT5
the stargate rumors were a 10B system in 2026 and a bigger system in 2028 with the full 100B system in 2030
now for release dates this means
GPT3 2020 (didnt take long because they only trained for 34 days and because there was no safety work to do)
GPT4 Q1 2023 after the computer used to train it was delivered in early 2022
GPT5 Computer is already delivered, release likely Q4 2024-Q1 2025
GPT6 Computer will be delivered in 2026, likely released in Q4 2026 Q1 2027
GPT7 Computer will be delivered in 2028 (unfinished stargate), likely release Q4 2028 Q1 2029
GPT8 Computer delivered in 2030 (full 100B stargate), likely release Q4 2030 Q1 2031
Buckle in boys its going to be a fun ride from now to 2032 !
