Someone I know has written an article about the things he has observed during the aftermath of Quiet on set. What are your options on this, and what do you think we can do to help make the industry safer for child actors?

Do you think Bob's afraid of Debrah? Did she crack his code?

Hear me out-- Bob is a vicious prick who murders people and sometimes cuts them up. Bob is a wife-beater. Bob has a terrible temper and thinks of himself above anyone else. Bob killed dogs. I have trouble believing he is capable of human love. So why does he suck up to Debrah so much? Is Debrah his manipulative match, has she cracked his code of complete moral emptiness? Is it that she figured him out and is playing a superior long con for his money (literally dancing with the devil)? Or do you think there is real love there, that Bob is even capable of it? Despite his moral shortcomings, do you think ol' Bob's just lonely? Why such deference to Debrah? Did he give her access to the money just before he took off to Kill Susan, as a fail-safe measure (as a person to bail him out, just in case) ?

She is an intimidating person all on her own. I admit, I did cackle a bit when she was out enjoying her time in the Hamptons, and NOT in L.A. supporting Bob. That's so Debrah, amiright?

The Welcome Project in Georgia builds connection through hiking

The Welcome Project is dedicated to creating enriching and supportive programming for women who have recently resettled from Afghanistan. In Clarkston, Georgia, the initiative has collaborated with the Refugee Women’s Network to foster unity and camaraderie among these women through a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking.

This program offers participants invaluable opportunities to meet, connect, and build strength together. This Welcome Project has also ensured that the physical activities are accessible for all. Through All Terrain Georgia, Refugee Women’s Network was able to provide an action track wheelchair, empowering all Georgians to easily navigate through mud, water, sand and snow.

As a women-led organization, Refugee Women’s Network has consistently discovered innovative ways to support female survivors of war, conflict, and displacement. Their efforts help these women overcome systemic barriers, paving the way for healthy, self-sufficient, and fulfilling lives. The Archewell Foundation proudly uplifts this vital work through The Welcome Project, reinforcing our commitment to building more inclusive and connected communities for women across the U.S.

This looks interesting. He really popped as one of the strange characters to come out of the post Soviet era.

Correction: he was in Can't Get You Out of My Head, not Traumazone.

Robert Durst’s absence at the verdict

Robert Durst’s absence at the verdict

I have a theory that Robert Durst didn’t attend the verdict on purpose. My rationale is he is a narcissistic psychopath who wouldn’t want to be caught off guard in public. He probably remembered how he was caught in the last episode of The Jinx, and never wanted to feel like that again. Narcissists always want to appear to be right, always want to have the upper hand and they believe they can outsmart everyone. That’s why he took a stand probably against his lawyers’ wishes.

I don’t know how they checked to confirm he had Covid, I’d be interested in finding out if there is any record that he actually had it. But I wouldn’t hold it against him to fake being ill so he didn’t have to hear the news in public and expose himself like that.

Rodeos in the UK

questions for UK folks:

Rodeo is still massive here in the US, the oldest one in the world is held in my hometown. With all of the livestock and animal husbandry in the UK I’m curious if anyone has ever tried to get some sort of rodeo going in the UK.

Also why aren’t cows herded with horses as much in the UK? Are the herds not that large? Do ranchers still rope cattle to vaccinate/brand or tag?

I Don't "Like" Durst But Do Find Him Amusing And Fascinating

We know he's a convicted murder and he's clearly a liar, but there's something amusing about Durst. I'm not sure if I would go as far as to say I "like" his character, but he's fascinating in a way I've not really seen before. I have a hard time imagining him killing and dismembering people. He's small and seems somewhat dainty. He also doesn't make much sense to me. He had money. Why not pay someone to knock these people off if he wanted them dead? Why have millions, if not billions and dismember your aged neighbor with your own two hands and then clean up what would have been an unimaginable amount of mess yourself? Was this all about power over anything else?

What Really Happened To Durst's Mother?

I don't recall anyone explaining what her actual cause of death was. I know it's been said she fell from a great height and died instantly, but why? Was her death ruled a suicide or an accident? I haven't found much on the details. And if Durst's account of his father telling him to watch the event unfold, that family has fucked up in their blood.
