Me & my ratchet self flipped the channel one Friday night & landed on Life during lockup. Saw a ad for Love after Lockup in Dec. Guess who is excited? Yep me!! So now I flip between the jailbirds & lawbreakers on, On Patrol Live. Can you imagine paying for cable to watch this nonsense? 🤪🤪🤪

Start by watching Heather and Dylan on Love after Lockup, Season 3, sleep for a few days and if you’re ready for the hard stuff…. follow up by watching Heather absolutely lose her mind on Instagram. There’s a sub-Reddit dedicated to her craziness too. Only watch a small amount at first.

I can't remember what episode but he just happened to walk in the room at the moment they showed a preview of the Chode spazzing the shit out, about to pop a blood vessel; something along the lines of: he's in a plural marriage with one wife being disloyal and trying to leave, having communicating problems with another and she moved out and one that he completely can't stand and don't want to be with》All new SISTERWIVES ~, coming this...《 it was hilarious! He was like "Yikes OMG this man is sad! So basically, he is in a monogamous marriage?"
Now he just watches for all the cringe comments like the kidney-knife. Somehow, Chody's misery makes him more intrigued.

The actresses from one tree hill did this with a podcast. They rewatch the episodes and talk about the behind the scenes stuff that went along with it. That would be interesting with these two

It’s very common, the actresses who play Pam and Angela on The Office did the same thing and went through each episode of the show.

The problem is they may limited about what they can and cannot say in the event that TLC is afraid to be sued by Kody and Robyn. I’m not sure how all of that works; but I could see that getting tricky if they decided they didn’t want C and J airing their dirty laundry.
I think that if TLC can make money off of it, they won’t worry about any lawsuit K&R file. I suspect they have more than enough resources to either fend off a lawsuit, or pay K&R a little nuisance settlement to go away.
Not to mention, if it were slander or something that Kody tried to sue for..... TLC has hours and hours and hours of unaired receipts proving his behavior.

I think that IF there was anything he could do to prevent the other wives and kids talking from about him and Robyn - he would.
I could see Kody trying to pressure TLC and the exes himself to limit what they can say.
But I can't see TLC trying to force the OG3 or the OG13 kids into signing anything unless it benefits TLC directly. TLC isn't worried about Kody's feelings. They'll protect their property. Case in point - Christine leaving Kody came out before the show aired, and viewership skyrocketed.

Yep, this is my sentiment too. It’ll be great to get their genuine thoughts from when Robyn joined the family, how they really felt about her and whether they suspected that Kody had been unfaithful. They were “keeping sweet” then, so there’s bound to be a lot to unpack there.

I don't know. There's nothing real on it anymore. At least when the kids were little you got some genuine stuff. Now it's all just for show. Even the 50s birthday party. Christine had an off-show 1920s murder mystery party a few weeks prior. The 50s party was likely just a show performance.
I feel the same. Like yes, reality TV is fake, but Christine has been so "on" this season it's really hard to forget this shit is all fake. Her performance is a little too obviously a performance, and all the content is random shit set up by tlc. Again, it's reality TV so ofc fake, but man, there don't seem to be any bits of genuine anything, aside from maybe some of Meri and Janelle's talking heads. Those have been the highlight this season. Everything else is just a cheap, tlc recreation—including, as you mentioned, the birthday party. I don't even know why they would tell us there was a filmed version for tlc and a not filmed version, it just lets us see behind the curtain too much.
Hard agree with everything you wrote. Christine’s fake laughter and acting. They way they were all jumping for joy because Mykelti was having twins as if there has never been something like that before. It’s all been a bit much. I think Janelle and Mari are the only two not acting.
I'm very happy for Christine that she not only left, but also found someone who proudly proclaims to the world that he's with her. That said, there's a reason I found her annoying af in previous seasons...
Also that bday party was just BAD. Like 15 people dressed up and a random food truck isn’t a party.

It’s impossible to keep up with timelines or be interested in things you have already seen the person posting about on instagram. When reality tv first started you didn’t really get that what you’re seeing was filmed a year ago to the extent we do now. Just Christine mentioning she’s “causally dating” and I’m like ok she just got married it was all over social media.
Not really. They were only extraordinary because of their polygamous lifestyle. As monogamous women, they're no t particularly special or interesting. They probably have NDAs with TLC so they won't even be sharing juicy tea from their previous lives. So no.
Janelle is only interesting within the context of her proximity to this set of marriages. She is closed off and introverted. Her hobbies are gardening and taking walks. She’s not attention seeking.

No but I’m so curious about Meri, I followed her on insta and her life is interesting. She’s going on dates, Hangs out with Jen. And I’m so curious about her journey and truth because she never says much on the show lol

You know, I can see Meri living her best life without a partner OR with a partner who owns his own home and lives there and not with Meri. Maybe he has grandkids and Meri, loving kids, will be a surrogate nana who goes by nanny Meri. However, her life is her MLM and the BNB and she has trips and adventures with Jen and her other friends. She finally realizes she doesn’t need a man to have a fulfilled life; she just occasionally enjoys the company of that guy. Maybe it’s sexual, maybe it’s not, but it works for them.
They are way too normal and boring to have a TV show. Lol I like them, and wish the best for them, but there is absolutely no way they would be entertaining enough for a TV show.
As much as I hate Robyn and Kody, they are really the only reason I watch the latest season. I want to see them make fools of themselves and destroy their own lives one episode at a time.
I think it’s a good sign when they are living boring lives. Let them have their adventures but they don’t need to be filmed and shared internationally to a viewing audience.

Unpopular opinion: I’m getting a little tired of Christine.
Here’s my unpopular opinion: Mykelti learned some of her manipulation tactics from Christine. They are very similar.
TOTE-ALLY! Honestly, I’ve never cared for either of them. I want Christine to be happy and I’m glad she escaped but her personality was just always so irritating. I completely lost it with Mykelti when she insisted on having her wedding so close to Maddie’s. They could have waited. It became like a competition, and a “just because I can and will” attitude and I just find her really unappealing.
Yeah people keep saying Mykelti is just like her father, but... he's not the only one she resembles...
I've never really liked her. When she was a polygamist it was all about how wonderful polygamy was, polygamy perks etc. Now it's all about how horrible Kody is, how great it is to be "divorced" - she is so self-righteous and smug.
I'm glad she has found happiness again, but she needs to let the past go and stop sniping at her ex and his missus and just get on with life away from the cameras with her husband. Which, hopefully, she may well have done.

That’s what really turned me off on the countless other reality families. You can’t relate to people renting massive vacation homes, going to Hawaii as a family of ten, going “camping” in a $250,000 Class A motorhome, remodeling or buying million dollar homes.
The thought of a special with Christine and David planning their free wedding and all her over the top acting makes me 🤢
It was hard enough seeing this people who, for all intents and purposes, were broke, taking these Alaskan and Hawaiian vacations. Or taking RVs partially through the US. I thought that part was super annoying (only second most annoying thing after getting reactions from rando’s learning that they were a polygamist family in every dang episode).

Honestly, probably not especially if's like what we've seen of them in the show and just forced activities. I just find them very boring. Also I can't help but feel like they're not as close as they want everyone to think because they seem so awkward together at times. It feels like a step above Robyn and Meri at times. When you look at them compared to Meri and Jen or even the designer guy that was on Sunday night and it feels even more forced. I mean I think they get along but I don't think they truly spend much time together or even much time talking on a day to day basis, it seems to be just important moments.
I agree but I think the discomfort is more about having to film themselves just to talk about the same crap they have been talking about for a while. I think they know it’s boring. How would they not know that dishing on how terrible a husband Kody is/was is basically beating a dead horse? But I think as soon as the cameras are off they catch up and talk about the kids and the grandkids and all that stuff.
I really don't need family dinners, more births, and vacations. Plus, it will be 3 yrs by next season. They can't keep talking about Kody. It would be fun if one of them moved to a city and got a corporate job or something, but that's not going to happen. I think it will be a snoozefest.

Okay, so I'm super happy for Christine. But I feel like a spinoff would have worked better if we had seen the ladies navigating the single world together. But unfortunately, since the show is so far behind and we already know she is married and had a wedding(we all saw pics already) I don't see anything like a spin off with just the ladies working. I don't think we need a spin-off, we need a new version of sisterwives. I don't mind seeing updates on K&R but as a side note. Like deadbeat and his wife. Not a main person. And then more focused on the women and adult kids

Oh God, no! I like them fine, but---they just don't have compelling personalities, IMO. TLC shows are always based around a gimmick (weight, height, unusual relationships, etc.). Take the gimmick away, and there's rarely much that's interesting.

Nope…they are dull as dirt. Beyond that, Christine locked into another marriage with another conservative dullard which is great for her, I suppose but I can’t imagine it would make interesting tv. We’ve essentially had a glimpse of a Janelle and Christine spin off this season and it has been pretty dull…just Christine complaining and Janelle analyzing everything. Neither of them seems to be particularly funny or interesting and they are only filming with certain kids who are local and not super interesting.
I would watch a Meri spin-off though because she’s had a whole secret life with fun people for years that we’re just seeing now.
I don't find Meri and Jen to be fun tbh. They crack up at themselves but their jokes aren't funny to me at all. Now if Meri were to start dating, I'd be all over that show. But her cackling with her friend, nope.
I can understand that…but I just really think that if anyone has a chance for a successful spin off it’s Meri. She was the fun one in the early seasons and seems to be the fun one now. I’d totally be down for seeing Meri out in the world experiencing different things that she was sheltered from before and maybe even dating. She doesn’t seem to be in a rush to settle down and get married, so why not send her on a road trip or a dating adventure

IDK why everyone is so hard pressed for a spin-off. The show is at its highest ratings since it started, and just because they are no longer with Kody doesn’t mean they aren’t relevant to being called Sister Wives. I also don’t honestly think they would make an interesting show unless there was a gimmick like going in to business together or a road trip or renovating houses or something. Imagine Sister Wives before they left for Flagstaff.

I want to see an actual grill-on-the seat reunion where the interviewer actually asks the hard questions of all of them and IN THE SAME ROOM at the same time. They should be contractually obligated to answer viewer questions and tougher questions. I want Robyn and Kody called out on their hypocrisy and blatant favoritism, and admit to the Covid crazy. I want them to “go all the way back” to Las Vegas and admit that moving to Flagstaff was for Robyn’s benefit—and that it only further divided the family. I want to know why Meri has always been so oppositionally defiant with everything through the years and is holding on to Kody and the FAHMILY (which is really now just Kody, Robyn, and their kids). No one really wants anything to do with Meri and it’s sad and pathetic to watch.
I want more interior filming of Robyn and Kody’s house. These porch sits are not genuine interactions. I want Hoarders to come to Robyn’s house. I want Robyn’s body-shaming called out and pointed out that she herself has gained weight and has lost her beauty out of anger and bitterness. I want Kody called out for his narcissism and at the same time I want it asked as to why as leader of the family he did not insist they all live in one big house after they left the cul-de-sac—because in my mind, you’re not really polygamist if you all have your own houses across town—you’re just sharing a man and his body.
I also want to know why Meri or Janelle couldn’t move in with Robyn and Kody. I’m willing to bet that house has a downstairs kitchen, but I suspect it’s filled with a hoard given some of the photos.
I want to know more about their financial arrangements. There’s just so much that doesn’t make sense with how they live and that’s why I support one house because to me that makes more sense especially as they grow older and the kids leave the home: clearly that’s not an option now but I get it. They used to in Utah, and why not again?
I want to know why all the fake BS about Robyn wanting to rent and how they could then justify buying a house for almost $1 million. I just want it all called out. As for Christine and Janelle, I’m really happy for them but I agree that happiness does not make for great TV. And I agree with others who have noted that Christine’s forced manic happiness versus Janelle’s more introverted analysis is just not working. Really, I’m just watching these days to hate watch on Kody and Robyn, and to scream at the television when they’re on. And to analyze how their faces have literally changed in 10 years and not for the better: they both look like miserable psycho pills.

Initially, I thought that would be a great idea but the more I watch the segments with Christine and all the stupid crafts and all the baby stuff and and cooking stories, I'm realizing that I wouldn't. I have no interest in crafts, babies or cooking and have absolutely no interest watching anybody do anything with any of them. That seems to be what Christine's life is about. No shade to her, she can have her life be about whatever she wants and I'm thrilled that she broke free, but I don't want to watch anybody do crafts, I've never seen anything so boring in my life.
If it focused more on Janelle breaking free and learning about the outside world more and the psychological struggles that she might have when she starts dating, etc, that would be a bit more interesting to me. It would also be interesting to see her figure out how she's going to support herself and maybe watch her job hunting and interviewing , but I have a feeling that she would focus on the MLM stuff. I don't want to see MLM stuff either.
I guess it boils down to whether it would be real drama or just fluff and the last thing I want to do is watch middle-aged woman fluff, even though I am a middle-aged woman LOL.

No unless it was some type of recap and there honest about stuff. As a viewer I get that Janelle and Meri were not that close, but I thought they went to therapy to work on their relationship. I feel like there is so much behind-the-scenes. We have never been told or heard the fact that Janelle said that she has not spoken to Meri in a year is so odd, considering they were in a family sharing holidays for almost 30 years. If you can’t stand someone that much I wonder how much of the scenes for all those seasons were simply tv forced. Once the cameras were off did any of them really ever see each other

Honestly no. Nothing against them but I started watching out of curiosity to see if it worked for some people, if it’s as weird as it sounds. I stayed for the ever lasting delusion. I mean come on yall, why do we watch TLC…?
I would watch to see how it goes but probably not for long. I watched sister wives for the polygamy and Mormonism aspects. Now they’re just normal happy people with great relationships.

Probably not. The majority of the episodes have been about their issues with kody and Robin. They don't do much outside of their home on camera. Every is indoors or in the yard.

if it is going to be this whole slamming kody and robyn(no iam not a kody fan infact I don't like him) the they are no better then them if it is them showing us how they have been able to move on from kodys control and abuse then I am all for that as it shows us that women can ne strong and able to move on

I know everyone is all high on these two for leaving curly girl, and I get it. I am too. BUT these people are also kinda boring, very conservative and problematic in their own right in many, many ways. So, no I highly doubt I'd watch their show.
Thank you. So far, none of their segments warrant them getting their own spinoffs. It’s been barely watchable. Not a single person so far has earned a spinoff. Plus that would mean more Paedon (no thank you daddy) and Mykelti and Tony.

Genuinely I only watch for the talking heads part. I love seeing Janelle, Christine and Meri finally reacting to the BS in a not keeping sweet manner.
I have a special fondness for Janelle’s big purse, F bomb dropping, I love living alone energy. You can tell she has finally stopped caring about how they look as a polygamist family and just wants to be honest. Just her admitting she hasn’t talked to Meri in over a year was a breath of fresh air. Like we’ve known for years they didn’t get along and now it’s not forced. Also her just absolutely rejecting Kody at every turn is beautiful.
To be honest I’ve been enjoying Meri’s interviews too recently. It just finally clicked that it was over and I even liked the over the top corny tree removal comparison. She just seemed so much more relaxed and not so stiff. And her “screw him” at the end was wonderful.
Could this be a full show though? I don’t think so. The show needs to go and be moved to each persons respective social media for updates. It’s time to move on.
Probably not. I think I'm done with this family. Not in a bad way, it's just I've been watching since the very beginning and honestly, the whole time I was just waiting for it to fall apart. Now that it's finally happened I feel like I can close this book lol
