Directors welcome ‘no change’ report on disclosure laws

Company directors have welcomed a review of continuous disclosure laws that says the Labor government should not revisit changes it once criticised as unfair protection for companies and “dodgy directors” from class actions.
The report by Kevin Lewis, chief compliance officer at the ASX from 2010 to 2020, said there had been no impact on “meritorious” claims, but added it had “not been long enough to draw meaningful conclusions”.
