Richard gadd has every right to share his story the way he likes. Netflix literally had a darn warning after EVERY single episode discussing that some parts are dramatized and fictionalized. Can people not read and understand that not All Parts are real and they don’t need to be legally. He could make a show about Anything as long as he didn’t out Fiona which he DIDNT.

I don’t understand this intense desire to defend a woman like Fiona. Fiona was found because she kept all her tweets up and her insane Facebook accounts up. Nobody is stalking her nor harrasing her in person, all she had to do was delete her Facebook and POOF the harassment would stop. But Fiona loves and craves attention and has many narcissistic traits. So instead she went on national tv and is now doing a club appearance.

Gadd’s biggest mistake was showcasing her in an empathetic manner, she didn’t deserve that. On that piers interview we saw the REAL her the mean, nasty, manipulative woman that she is. People keep feeling sorry for her because she’s mentally ill, or her “past traumas” but we have no prior knowledge of that mental illness or traumas, we can all assume she’s somewhat mentally ill, but being mentally ill doesn’t make you a bad person. She’s a bad mean person who happens to most likely have some mental health issues. She has a history of harassing and stalking and destroying people’s lives, There’s a million better people you could be wasting your time defending.

Point is, Gadd has no duty of care to her it’s a ridiculous discussion. People defending Fiona should find much better people to defend. Gadd made a brilliant show, helped men feel comfortable with sexual traumas, while Fiona has spent decades harrasing and stalking innocent people. Also, Fiona has a long list of victims a few have come forward already and are pretty afraid I’m assuming because they are scared she will fixate and stalk and harrass them again. Fiona is literally a danger to society, and now that she outed herself she will hopefully not find new victims.

"omg he should've protected her identity! he made it so easy to find her!" blah blah blah shut up. he doesn't owe her shit. she terrorized this man, his family, his girlfriend, his job, his performances, etc etc. she has been terrorizing innocent people for decades.

yes fiona is mentally ill, that is clear to anyone with half of a brain. it's awful that the system has failed her time and time again. (or maybe the system did all it could, who knows.) but that's not richard's fault. HE is HER victim. he can tell his story how he wants.

might she have a worthwhile lawsuit because her identity wasn't concealed enough? possibly, probably not. might she have a worthwhile lawsuit because the show took dramatic license? possibly, probably not.

she's benefitting financially from this as well and i'm sure netflix will cut her a check before a lawsuit happens, no matter who is in the right.

richard gadd does not owe fiona harvey protection. i'm sorry but that's reality.

It was such a waste of hospital materials, not to mention the deer was bleeding out and the shock they did only probably gave it enough energy to run off and die later that day so she just made the deer suffer for longer. Shouldve just let it die. Not to mention she wasted the interns whole ass day when they could have gone and looked for other actual HOSPITAL RELATED things to do. (I also just hate Izzie)

And I love it

One of the reasons I think the show has had such an impact is Donny's self-awareness. Most stories like this have a victim-villain/ hero-anti-hero. The hero is all good. The villian is all bad.

In this show, the characters are nuanced and complex, as in real life. You can see why the villains in Donny's life think they are the heros in their own.

Donny is an up and coming, young comedian. He could have portrayed himself as successful. Instead he protrayed himself as cringey and insufferable. His act is cheesy and terrible.

He could have portrayed himself as boyfriend of the year. Instead he paints a picture of Keely (and her mum), and Terri being too good for him.

Darrien is a villain. Richard could have portrayed him as a completly evil thing. Instead he adds the nuance. It has faustian/deal with the devil vibe. Darrien hides behind a veneer of spirituality and passes off his evil acts as necessary growth. Richard exchanges his dignity for a taste of the high-life, free dugs, exclusive parties, and help with his comedy act.

When Donny goes back to him, as an audience we're begging him not to. But seeing this flawed human make mistake after mistake, it's clear why he does. Watching a broken man make another mistake, reminds us that we make mistakes too.

He admits to leading Martha on and not being clear (at times). She saw him how he wanted to be seen. He could have left it out and looked like even more of a victim. Instead he leaves it in. Along with the detail of wan*ing to a photo of her.

The final scene with Keelywhere he's mapped out Martha's communication, and sorted her voicemails, to show how crazy he is. Yet it shows how crazy he is. It takes quite a person to leave such details in. If this were my story, I wouldn't admit that to myself, let alone, the world!

He's in stark contrast to Fiona/Martha who even now claims to be completly perfect while taking pot shots at Richard.

I'm not sure if I like Donny or not. But his self-awareness and vulnerability make him almost bullet-proof to criticism.

Season 1 Episode 2 It’s 1912 when Lord Grantham gives Charles Gregg £20 to go away.  That is equal to £2,862 in 2024 or $3,623

Season 3 Episode 4 It’s 1920 when Edith picks up a bottle of scent for the Dowager.   It’s ‘a guinea’ (1 pound & 1 shilling and I couldn’t figure out how to get the calculator to do that, so I went with £1)  That is somewhat equal to £56 in 2024 or $70

Season 3 Episode 9 It’s 1921 when Jimmy bets 'a quid on the Downton team' (tug 'o war at the fair) That is equal to £61 in 2024 or $77    At ten to one odds, Jimmy won £10 equal to £613 in 2024 or $776

Season 4 Episode 2 still 1921, 1922, six months after Matthews death and Mr. Molesley hasn’t had wages in a bit.  He’s working on the roads when he tells Anna he owes £15 - £20 around the village.  £920 - £1,226 in 2024 or $1,164 - $1,552.   Later the same episode, Mr. Bates (with help from the Dowager) gives Mr. Molesley £30.  That is equal to £1,840 in 2024 or $2,329 ETA: after I thought about it, I realized it's 1922 becuase it's Valentines Day

Season 6 Episode 1 It’s 1925 when Mary’s blackmailer demands £1,000, equivalent to £76,190 or $96,461 in 2024.   Robert gives the blackmailer £50, that’s £3,809 or $4,822 in 2024

Wow. I’d forgotten what a douche Desi was! How could Marnie stand it?

The actor is so good in The Bear that he makes me forget Desi - which I would have thought was impossible.

EDIT: I know he’s supposed to be, but it was startling on my rewatch.
