I have barely seen anyone talk about Switch Sports at all after it came out, and so I always just thought of it as "The flopped successor to Wii Sports"

It's shocked me when I saw that it's among the top 20 best selling Nintendo Switch game, and sold over 13 million copies.

Nobody I know owned this game, Yet it sold almost as much as Nintendo new big IP like Splatoon 2(and over Splatoon 3)

Like I know that it's still pale in comparison to its predecessor, But 13M is not something you can sneezed at. Especially for the game that was released this late into the console life cycles.

Even compared to other "Game for Non-Gamer" like Ring Fit Adventure, The gap still wasn't exactly that wide. Even though Ring Fit was very popular(There was a period that Ring Fit was so successful that people thought it's gonna be the next Wii Sports)

I can't really talk about the quality of the game itself since I have never played it, But It's surprised me that there is this game that sold over 13 million copies yet nobody really talked about it.

Note: I will use “UPDATE” instead of the M word that rhymes with God (ironically) that’s banned here for whatever reason.

I recently spent a couple hours trying to UPDATE Fallout New Vegas to have HD textures. All of the resources I found were super long and convoluted. This method takes 5 minutes and has been working great for me.

1. Make sure you have a clean install of Fallout New Vegas without any custom UPDATES.

2. Reboot your Steam Deck in desktop mode, complete the following steps in desktop mode.

3. Download all three of the NMCS texture packs from NEXUS UPDATES (the main site for game UPDATES, can’t link it due to the naughty word). You can search “NMCS TEXTURE PACK FOR NEW VEGAS" into Google, and it should pull right up. You will need to create an account for the site if you don’t have one already. Heads up, this is 3.3gb of files, so make sure you have the space.

4. Unzip all three files into a separate folder, I just unzipped to my desktop. You should have a total of four folders.

5. Locate Fallout New Vegas in your Steam library (again, must be via desktop mode). Right click the game, highlight “Manage”, then select “Browse Local Files”.

6. Open the folder titled “Data”. Drag all four folders that you unzipped into this folder. It will ask you if you want to “Write In” files, do that.

7. Go back to game mode and enjoy the game.

Not sure why everyone thinks you need UPDATE Organizer when this works just fine. It’s just way over complicated and takes you down some long path of installing apps that allow unpacking of the Organizer, that force you to run New Vegas at some specific proton, its ridiculous. You may need the Organizer if you choose to do multiple UPDATES, but if you want HD textures only, this is all you need to do. Ignore all the other tutorials, this will take you at most 5 minutes.
