Obviously I understand they have their reasoning for releasing it in two parts but I have to say - I almost feel like they have done themselves a disservice by doing so.
The pacing and chemistry have been 10/10 and I honestly think that when the rest of the season releases it will be the best by far. But reaching the end of episode 4 had me going, that’s it? All of that marketing and PR had me so excited for the drama and spice and there was some but to me it feels like it’s all just bubbling still. I feel like there’s a bit of mixed feelings about part one from what I’ve seen so far and I’m thinking that could have been eliminated by the whole thing coming at once.
Idk im just thinking it would have been so powerful in one go but also - maybe those are just the feelings of someone who waited 2 years for this and only just got a taste lol.
Anyway how are we feeling? What do you guys think so far?

In midnight sun on page 83 carlisle mentions she’s had multiple concussions before. What is this supposed to imply? It seems like new information but I don’t see where it connects unless it’s some how supposed to be the reason Edward can’t hear her thoughts (although it’s also kinda implied it’s genetic since a few pages earlier he has a hard time understanding Charlie’s thoughts)

First of all i think if I wasn’t so anxious about it being divided into two parts I would’ve like it a lot more.
But more importantly, I think they changed colin way too much. Yeah the glow up was good and all but I think they just gave us a washed up, not as charismatic anthony 2.0 this season.
Colin has always been playful and sweet and funny and 20 minutes into this season he’s this guy who’s flirting with every girl and having threesomes just?? Why??
Might just be me but the chemistry and the push and pull and attraction in the past seasons was a lot better.
I did kinda like cressida’s improvement and I was excited to see John Streling.
I still kinda enjoyed it but I think I was expecting a lot more. I think the chemistry was kinda off and there were too many unnecessary storylines and love stories. It was kinda all over the place.
Also why do they keep giving the same type of love interest to Benedict?
Edit: That balloon scene gave me the ick. Why was Pen freezing? Just move girl it’s not a truck it’s a slow moving balloon

I just want to take a moment to show my appreciation for Nicola on the eve of her big day. If you are reading this, Nicola, know that you have meant a great deal to someone across the pond. You have brightened my dark days with your refreshing, authentic self. I watched all your interviews. All of them. I love how you owned how hard it is to make it in acting, how you stood up for your values at a critical peak of your career when the no one in Hollywood is daring to speak, and...just for just being yourself. You mean a world to us.
I have loved you and your character since Derry Girls and since season 1 of Bridgeton. I will die on the hill saying that Pen would be the Regency diamond before anyone else.
