I often struggle to find creative activities that are simple enough for my 3.5-year-old daughter.
She’s always curious about what happens when you mix different colors and loves to see the new colors they create.
To satisfy her curiosity, I developed a little game:
She loves using it on her iPad, especially before bed. It's a fun way for her to engage with colors, and it also helps her practice reading and speaking new words. There’s nothing for sale—just wanted to share this fun and educational tool with other parents and craft enthusiasts!
Hi, guys!
I am running an art based summer program at a camp for kids aged 5-9. Do you have any activities in mind that your kids have especially enjoyed consistently? I find some of my ideas to be either a hit or a miss, and going to Reddit to collect all the hits seemed like a good idea.
Hello, wonderful moms of Reddit!
Do you have a creative little one between the ages of 2 and 4? I have a fun and engaging activity that might just be the perfect way to spend some quality time together! As part of a school project, I’m inviting kids to design their own dream outfit—anything goes, there are no limitations!
Here’s how it works:
1. Gather some crayons, markers, or colored pencils. 2. Ask your child to draw an outfit for themselves. Encourage them to think about their favorite colors, patterns, and any fun details they want to include. The sky’s the limit! 3. Once they’re done, share their masterpiece with us! You can post a picture of their drawing in the comments or as a separate post with the tag #KidsDesignChallenge.
This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to express their creativity and imagination without any restrictions. Plus, it’s a fun way to keep little hands busy!
Happy drawing!
Prepping for summer crafts other than the obvious paper, markers, glue and scissors, what things do you get for your kids to make and decorate their crafts with? I feel like I could use some new ideas for my kids.
