DISCLOSURE PROCESS SERIES

Hello, thanks for reading.

This is part 19 of 23 in a post series I've continued to add on to and update. These are my own thoughts on things, accompanied with sourced links and other supporting info. Please feel free to offer any thoughts, questions, or challenges on any of the posts.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS POST

Thanks to u/TommyShelbyPFB's post. I decided to do some fact finding on our friend that we found out about today, Senator Roger Wicker. It looks like he's been great for economic development of space exploration for both NASA and private companies. This is awesome. I thought I'd share some of the cool ways he's brought economic development to MS!

ROGER WICKER, SENATOR OF MISSISSIPPI

I agree with Tommy, it is completely unacceptable for Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi to block Disclosure. Here are some fun facts from his bio:

- Senator Wicker served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and then joined the Air Force Reserve. He retired from the Reserve in 2004 with the rank of lieutenant colonel.

- Roger F. Wicker has represented Mississippi in the United States Senate since December 2007. Senator Wicker has been a strong advocate for economic development initiatives to help keep Mississippians competitive in a global marketplace.

STENNIS SPACE CENTER

He's done a great job of bringing funding and development to his state. Just like Mike Rogers. He's been lucky enough to have supporters of course!

Stennis Space Center (originally the Mississippi Test Facility in 1961) has seen a lot of growth with Senator Wicker! From the wiki: As of 2012, it is NASA's largest rocket engine test facility. There are over 50 local, state, national, international, private, and public companies and agencies using SSC for their rocket testing facilities.

He and a co-sponsor tried to pass legislation in 2019 that would have authorized funding to "a current NASA Center" (Stennis). Summary: This bill directs the Department of Transportation to establish a facility at which federal employees may receive training on functions and activities related to the licensing of commercial space launch and reentry activities.

That didn't pass.

PRIVATE SECTOR INVESTMENT AND RADIANCE TECHNOLOGIES

He saw a lot of potential in it though. Good news is this year he announced that he brought it to Stennis through other means. Looks like he got an awesome company (or two) to help invest in Stennis development. Rocket Lab is set to invest $260 million in Stennis Space Center and will refurbish another of the test stands, which will create hundreds of jobs. Radiance Technologies also has an office at Stennis Space Center.

So yeah. Looks like he probably knows something...

IVE SEEN A QUESTION RAISED FREQUENTLY THAT I'D LIKE TO ATTEMPT TO ANSWER

"Chuck Schumer, the leading democrat in the senate proposed this amendment and he receives the most in of lobbyist contributions from Lockheed. this seems to go against the methos that current republicans trying to block the bill, are only doing so due to large aerospace backers. Any explanations for this? It has me concerned that this bill might be a trojan horse."

I think the answer is this is just lobbying in American politics. They donate to whoever has the most power in affecting the legislation they see as most important. Just seems like they think Schumer is worth more than the opposition. If anything, it shows their financial vote of confidence that Schumer is the prime target to try to get what they need.

The interesting thing about the numbers, is that they tell a different story. The numbers show Schumer's funds from the companies implicated in all this, aren't even on the top 20 list. Schumer has a ton of power on the Hill and is a direct line to the White House. It makes sense for Schumer to be highly sought after. The fact that the only Aerospace and Defense company on his top 20 is Boeing, is telling. In my opinion!

WHAT HAPPENS TO LOCKHEED?

Let me offer you a thought: We already know Lockheed Martin was asking the government to take their UAP materials in the past, and that's what Harry Reid was working on. But gatekeepers wouldn't let it happen. They seem to know something is coming. I'd be willing to bet they already made their deals, and they don't mind being named. I'd be willing to bet that they were the first domino to take the opportunity to come clean.

MY TWO CENTS

In my opinion. Private investment is great for Space exploration. But the market is supposed to be fair, and it very clearly isn't. If this guy knows something, we need to know it too. Apparently according to Josh Boswell, Chris Sharp, and Matt Ford, we have been funding some super shady stuff. We need to know what is happening so we can prepare our families and friends. We need to get our shit together as soon as possible so we can right the wrongs that have been done. The longer that anyone fights this the harder it makes to forgive. The faster you get this done, the faster we can get to truth and reconciliation, and healing as a planet.

Roger Wicker, come clean bro. We need to know what the fuck is up, respectfully.

Letter from Senators Marco Rubio and Roger Wicker blast Pentagon for the handling of the balloon and UAP incidents

"The Honorable Lloyd J. Austin, Ill Secretary U.S. Department of Defense 1000 Defense Pentagon Washington, D.C. 20301

Dear Secretary Austin:

On February 8, 2023, we wrote to you and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines requesting timely answers to a series of questions about the Biden Administration's response to the Chinese surveillance balloon and subsequent shoot down of three Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). On February 27 - a full 10 days after our deadline for this information - Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl responded that the Department would not answer our questions. He also suggested that all of our questions had been addressed in the briefings that the Biden Administration provided to Senators on February 9 and February 14. We are surprised and disappointed that a letter addressed to you was answered by a subordinate. Our expectation moving forward is that your signature will appear on any correspondence we exchange. This response, which we interpret as reflective of your position, is unacceptable. We attended both briefings and can say with utmost certainty that Dr. Kahl's contention is wrong: many of our oversight questions about the administration's immediate response to the Chinese surveillance balloon remain unanswered. In particular, we await documentation demonstrating when senior officials learned of the balloon and at what point you, and the President, were provided response options. The simple point of the letter was to establish baseline facts to inform all members of Congress. From what we have gathered thus far, the Commander of U.S. Northern Command/NORAD, Gen. VanHerck, notified his chain of command of the balloon on January 28, when the balloon was over the Aleutian Islands. But it is our understanding you did not learn of the balloon until at least a few days later, by which point the balloon had traversed Alaska and Canada and re-entered the United States. As the Department's senior policy official, Dr. Kahl likely would have been involved in briefing you on the balloon and developing response options. Alternatively, if Dr. Kahl did not play this role during the balloon crisis, learned of the balloon belatedly, or declined to provide response options while the balloon was over unpopulated regions of Alaska and Canada, that is something Congress should understand. Instead, Dr. Kahl is simply declining to answer our questions on your behalf. Even worse, Dr. Kahl appears to be spearheading a communications strategy that aims to hide the administration's early missteps. During their respective briefings for Senators, Dr. Kahl and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Hemispheric Affairs Melissa Dalton repeatedly highlighted the administration's downing and recovery of the surveillance balloon while sidestepping questions regarding the U.S. government's knowledge and actions prior to the shoot-down.

In addition, soon after the balloon became public knowledge, Dr. Kahl leaked previously classified information to the press about prior Chinese surveillance balloons during the Trump administration. It remains unclear whether this leak was cleared internally through the proper channels. Either way, it was a brazen attempt to shift blame. Most egregiously, Dr. Kahl omitted a key detail in his distribution of this sensitive information to the press – the prior Chinese balloons were only discovered much later. The Trump administration did not have an opportunity to respond at the time. We sincerely hope you will hold Dr. Kahl accountable for his politicization of previously classified material. This type of behavior is the reason every Senate Republican voted against Dr. Kahl’s nomination in 2021. Although this correspondence is focused primarily on the Chinese HAB, we are equally disappointed with the Department’s lack of transparency when it comes to the unprecedented shoot down of three UAP over Alaska, Northern Canada, and Lake Huron. We are aware NORAD was actively tracking UAP over Northern Alaska as early as February 1 prior to the Department updating radar parameters. We were never informed about the Department scrambling fighters to Northern Alaska to address UAP observed on February 1. Despite sixth generation sensor suites supported by ISR, U2, and AWACS, the Committees have seen zero data and received few details about the UAP shoot downs. In closing, we await your response to the questions that we sent on February 8. It is imperative for Congress to understand why this Chinese surveillance balloon was not stopped sooner so we can help the Department of Defense and the intelligence community better protect our airspace. Please let us know as soon as possible when we can expect to receive these responses. We once again thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. "

OBLIGATORY ROGER WICKER INFO:

Wicker is staunchly anti-abortion, and has repeatedly introduced legislation to overturn Roe v Wade. He has also spoke out against the ACA, proposing legislation which would have allowed states to challenge the law. In 2010 he amended a transportation spending bill to allow Amtrak passengers to carry firearms and ammunition in checked baggage, and was given an A+ rating by the NRA. In a bipartisan effort he advocated for amendments to allow federal flood insurance to cover wind for states which face hurricanes, such as his state. In 2012 he co-sponsored a bill to impose sanctions on Russia on the grounds of the latter violating human rights, which in turn led to Putin banning the adoption of Russian children in the US. Wicker was one of three senators targeted in the April 2013 ricin letters attack effort, though was not infected as it was prevented from reaching the capitol thanks to postal officials and law enforcement. In the next year he supported the Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act of 2014 which would have made ammunition and fish tackle containing lead exempt from regulation under the Toxic Substances Control Act, allow states to issue electronic duck stamps and provide grants for wetland protection. It did not pass. In 2015 he was the only senator to vote against an amendment declaring climate change to be real, and later on urged Trump to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement. After the San Bernadino attack in the same year, Wicker voted against a bill to make mandatory background checks mandatory. Thanks to the unrest in Hong Kong which broke out in 2014 Wicker co-sponsored the bipartisan Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act which imposed sanctions against Chinese and Hong Kong officials. It finally passed in 2019. In 2017 he co-sponsored the Israel Anti-Boycott Act which made it a federal crime for American citizens to participate in anti-Israel boycotts in the West Bank. Wicker gained some recent notoriety for bragging about provisions of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 that help independent restaurant operators despite voting against the bill.
