They did it again! John Thune and Mike Rounds voted against protecting access to IVF

Let me see if I can summarize this correctly. They won't allow women to have access to female healthcare. This will and has lead to unnecessary deaths. They won't allow women access to birth control. Now, they won't allow women who WANT children to have access to IVF treatments. The recent vote is because embryos are apparently children in Alabama and they are going to treat IVF embryos the same nationally. This is f*cking madness. Vote Blue this November. "Blessed be the fruit"

In the past, a family can afford college and a home on one income.

The minimum wage held significantly more value than it does today, and school and property was significantly cheaper.

Employers offered pensions and better benefits.

  1. What's changed since then to create this unsustainable situation today?

  2. If the minimum wage was a livable wage many times during America's history, why will changing the minimum wage destroy the economy today?

  3. Do you factor in the change in cost of living and the fact that wages have been stagnant when you consider how so many people criticize millennials as being lazy? If they "just work harder" can they ever be as successful (success as measured by owning a home, car, affording to raise a family, having no debt, for example) as older generations?

Please go read the Restrict Act that John Thune co-sponsored. It is bad. So bad, Fox News is doing stories about how dangerous it is to people.

I am honestly shocked that local news like Keloland and Argusleader haven't been talking about it or asking Thune about it.

This is a massive overreach on powers from the govt. For Republicans out there, this would give Biden a lot of power with very little oversight.

Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds both voted against burn pit coverage for South Dakota veterans.

You can see a brief list of the 14 "No" votes here.

I'm a veteran who served in Iraq. When we returned from our tour, a young(er) Thune came to visit us during demobilization. He had a retinue of 8 attendants. His visit lasted all of 10 minutes and he gave each of us a coin as a "token of gratitude from the state of South Dakota".

The coin still had the sticker from the Senate gift shop on the back of it.

He has never cared about South Dakotans, nor has he ever cared about veterans.
