Jim Risch

This was the response received from Senator Risch when I contacted him asking him to support the "Green New Deal," proposed by Ocasio-Cortez. Most upsetting is the mention of "clean coal."

Senator Risch explains his "no" vote on the final volume of the Senate intelligence committee's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. His was the only "no" vote in the republican-led intelligence committee.

Net Neutrality -- Senators Risch and Crapo have not yet expressed support

I've contacted both of them and have received a reply back from one expressing condemnation of net neutrality, because he thinks losing net neutrality will be better for businesses (and it will be better for Verizon, Charter, AT&T, et al, but it'll suck for every other business).

I don't want to direct attention solely to that one senator, though, especially since both of them recently voted to reconfirm Ajit Pai, so contact both of them.

Senator Crapo voted in favor of one of the options to reopen the federal government. Senator Risch was "not voting."

Redditors-

Please call your Senators and Reps about the frustrations you are experiencing. Not getting the EIDL grant in 3 days, the requirements the SBA has made up that aren't in the spirit of the law (see this great post about the specifics of the law) the lack of lenders and the bogus regulations SBA has enacted for the Paycheck Protection Program.

We can't just complain on here. You can help yourself and help everyone else by calling your legislators.

Everyone should call, but people in the states I listed have Senators that sit on the SBA Committee. I called Senator Risch (ID) at his Washington DC office this morning and got VM, but I called my local office and talked to someone who seemed very concerned and is passing it on to the Washington staff.

Florida and Maryland....Call Marco Rubio and Ben Cardin....they are the Chairman and Ranking Member.

From Wikipedia the Senators that sit on the SBA Committee

MajorityMinority

Edit: Someone from Senator Risch’s office called me back within the hour. They are very concerned and hoping to have a resolution quickly like they did with the question on whether or not Social Security people got the $1200.

Gave me her cell phone and said she would be in touch and I should be in touch.

I shared my own story and the ones I’ve seen here.

Jim Risch, Mike Crapo and the NRA

https://www.newsweek.com/republican-senators-nra-funding-texas-school-shooting-uvalde-1710332#Echobox=1653566210 So these two were part of the shameful bunch who take money from the NRA. With all of the growth the past few years Idaho needs to get with the times. Idaho's GOP should put honorable civic servants in the running, not these career clowns.

Edit: I don't want your guns. I'm saying let's start holding these "public servants" accountable. If they're going to take money from the NRA and then impede gun regulations then their interest is far from us Idahoans. Stop saying I want your guns taken away. If you're not homicidal then you're not the concern.

Just a point of interest on yesterday's Net Neutrality vote...

Senators Crapo and Risch voted to keep allowing mobile companies to sell your private data.

They voted to allow internet fast lanes in the already obsolete communication networks of Idaho. A move that could have put small businesses, and education at a disadvantage as they may not be able to afford to compete or participate.

They voted for open capture of a government agency by those who it should be regulating.

They did this in spite of the fact that 80% of Americans, including Idahoans are in favor of Net Neutrality.

And they did it for the following sums:

Senator Crapo: $11,000 donations from telecom groups. His assistant in D.C. can be reached 2022246142.

Senator Risch: $27,000 donations from telecom groups. His assistant in D.C. can be reached at 2022242752.

Watch January 6th rioters trash the office of Republican Senator Jim Risch. The senator would go on to make no public comment about the incident. This is how much control Trump exerts over them
