god the simon & betty scenes from jerry are still so fucking good, they’re such. loser nerds. betty jumps into water that is barely knee high and they both act like this is some genius idea from an insane person. “i touched his hand in the library once!”. this girl simon Does Not Know invites herself along on his trip because he made a joke about it and he’s just like alright i guess this is happening. their awkward goodbye in the car where they both refuse to Communicate Any Personal Feelings and just fucking shake hands. simon has his romcom running-to-catch-her moment and when he gets there all he can think to say is “you shouldn’t leave personal information lying around like that” like he didn’t literally just drop everything to come here and go oh my god i love you. then when they FINALLY have their confession moment betty STILL calls simon by his last name and he has to ask her to stop doing that. they’re so weird
