Thinking about how Yoko Taro, along with a bunch of Platinum Games employees, had to frantically rush to save the initial players who would reach Automata’s true ending.

After all, there would be no one to rescue them otherwise. They’d be stranded, unless they were capable of beating the credits sequence themselves.

They originally wanted to use non-player cpu data, but Yoko Taro said it was bullshit and would ruin the ending (because he believes in his art)– so they did it manually, using the cheat code the community only recently discovered in a race against the clock.

They had to use retail copies, because development builds had no access to Sony servers.

Source was the Automata 5th anniversary niconico broadcast– Yoko Taro called it one of his favorite memories.
