Hi everyone! I am a person from the Internet who online goes by the name Mescad. I've been online since the early 1990s and have enjoyed watching the pre-web Internet grow and change into what we have today.

Some significant Milestones:

  • When I was five years old, our family bought an Atari 2600 gaming console. This began my love of video games, which continues through today. Early favorites were Pac-Man, E.T., Enduro, and especially Pitfall!. I am and always will be a gamer, making time each day to play games.

  • From my earliest memories of typing in programs from the back of magazines, I have always been fascinated by computer software. Thanks to some excellent mentors in my teens, I decided to study Computer Science in college. I wasn't a great student, but loved being in the classroom and found my passion for Computer Science education.

  • Ten years ago I began making YouTube tutorials for Microsoft's game development platform, Project Spark. I used that framework to teach Computational Thinking topics to my audience, many of who were teens. This opened several doors for me and brought me a lot of joy and friendships. Unfortunately, Microsoft closed Project Spark in 2016, but I still value those connections I made.

  • When I was around six years old, I received a few small Lego sets for Christmas. This eventually ignited my love of Lego that has grown into a lifelong hobby. Currently I help moderate r/Lego, which many believe to be the largest gathering of Lego fans in one place on the Internet.

So, ask me anything! I'm not a celebrity, but sometimes people have questions. Now I have answers.

Proof: Trust me bro

That's why it's only $99.99! :)

But yeah, it's 1440 pieces, but it certainly doesn't look like it.

Rebuilding my childhood collection

Some of my favorite childhood sets, including the police station at the top left I don't see very often. Thanks for sharing!

Since Icons was established, yes. Here they all are: https://brickset.com/sets/subtheme-Winter-Village-Collection

Lego puts Holiday Main Street from 2022 in the "Powered Up" theme on their site, but it also shows up under Icons.

It's been about a month since this set released, what are your final thoughts on it?

mescad

That one month after release is far too early for "final thoughts" on something that will likely be sold for 2-3 years.

Thanks for that note. I use the German page to get the EU price, but as you pointed out, Lego's prices aren't consistent across Europe.
