NYC Prep

I'm starting my rewatch and definitely want to talk about it lol now that I'm an adult I'm curious how I'll feel about it and certain people. Also random but if any of you have tea on where they are now please share! I might be mixing this up cuz it was years ago but I remember something about Taylor going downhill at one point? Am I misremembering that?

Edit: I'm on the 4th episode and I just have to say that Camille is a legend. Her date had me cackling. Where are you going to college? George Washington University. In her confessional "I mean it's a good school but Harvard is number 1" 🤣🤣 she's the real life paris from Gilmore girls and I love it. Someone find her and make her a housewife!

OMG, I just clicked the Bravo vault and see a bunch of additions to Peacock with old Bravo shows! I'm going to spend the day with Tabatha taking over! Also, I didn't even know there was a "Life After Top Chef?!?!"

Guys wtf is going on with the kids from NYC prep??? I just spent a good 45 minutes trying to find them all on instagram. Barley anyone is there and I don’t know enough about their lives from their posts. Also I heard Taylor became a drug addict and is a member of the homeless population in NYC, is this true?! If so that’s kind of devastating. Help a sista out and tell me everything you know!! Plz ☺️

I just noticed NYC Prep has been added to Bravo’s on demand channel on Hulu. Truly a blessing from the quarantine gods

Based on speculation of how Taylor is doing now... you can see the roots of her struggling in certain scenes on the show.

She told Sebastian she wanted to be a philosopher, then PC that she wanted to train elephants.

PC actually read Taylor so clearly - he called her out for saying she was grounded, then saying she went to a concert in Brooklyn, later that she was fighting with her mom - when she flat out skipped his party.

Contrast this to Camille who was so certain of her direction in life, Taylor changes her career path and even the guy she is interested in like the wind.

She was clearly being pulled in so many directions at such an important stage in her life, and beside PC taking her under his wing, nobody really seemed to check or care how she was feeling.

Idk, first watch I thought she was the drama queen of the show, but second time I feel so bad for her being pushed around by the older cast.

P.s. What has happened to Cole since the show???

I binged all eight episodes of NYC Prep yesterday and I loved every ridiculous second of it. I found myself intermittently howling with laughter/feeling deeply invested in these kids. Every time they talked about how they are SO. MUCH. MORE. MATURE than other kids their age because they grew up in NYC I guffawed. I’m so grateful that there wasn’t a camera crew there to capture my own incredibly awkward period of life (that we all go through) where you think you know it all. Other random thoughts: I died when Sebastian said he hooks up with anywhere from 2-16 girls a month, PC is soooo racist/sexist/other terrible qualities, wow, I could not believe how he was talking about his Mexican friend both in his talking heads and to his friend’s face, I would do terrible, terrible things for a video of the moment Camille got her Harvard rejection letter, I thought Jessie showed surprising maturity and drive work wise for her age, I’m sad to hear about Taylor not doing so well IF that’s indeed true because I found her to be endearing and wise beyond her years, and finally, can someone PLEASE explain to me how they could legally show that much underage drinking onscreen? I get the Mexico scenes but what about the NY ones? Very very pissed off we didn’t get a season 2 with Camille as the HBIC and PC in LA. Next up: going to watch Gallery Girls for the very first time!!!

Any thoughts on PC from NYC Prep? Watching now and finding myself curious about his sexuality as his friend called him Bi in Cancun and he did not deny it. Also after some googling I find that he married his “best friend” who had posted that they “hadn’t had sex and were the best of friends” Obviously his sexuality doesn’t matter but it got me thinking, kind of seemed like a situation where he stayed with women for image. Very sad if that’s the case however I guess he could just be a very comfortable guy! I may just be crazy lol!

I recently binged NYC Prep. I watched it when I was in middle school and hated Jessie Leavitt, the blonde girl who people said is fat and cross-eyed. But after watching it again now as an adult, I FUCKING LOVE HER.

She is only 17 in the show but a true boss bitch. She always stands up for herself and doesn’t take shit. The fact that PC is a billionaire’s child and everyone else in real life probably bows down to him, but she tells him off many times to get his act together. She is so bitchy but in a good reality tv way. I would definitely be terrified of her in real life and she’s probably so mean.

BUT for reality tv, she’s so awful and amazing. She’s awful but not cruel or evil, which is hard to come by.

Can we have her on RHONY?!?!! If that’s how she was at 17, then I bet she’s even more amazing now at 30? (Idk her age) I would love to see her up against Ramona.

I truly think she could be the next Bethenny. #JusticeForJessie

So I am totally obsessed with NYC Prep and fully believe it was truly one of the Bravo greats. Is there anywhere I can watch this again in all its glory? I need a little PC & jessie in my life yall! I have the fire stick, hulu, netflix the whole 9 yards but can't seem to find it. does it exist anywhere?
