Ladies of London

So Bravo is airing season 1 of Ladies of London and in the reruns that I have seen I’ve grown to love this show. So are there any updates on the women today? I know Stanburys on Dubai and Annabelle passing back in 2018 but what happened with the other ladies?

Ok so I started watching for the Trixie and stayed for the Fleming. This show is unreal, and I loved listening to the season 3 recaps the boys did, but season 2 of that show is maybe one of the best I’ve seen on bravo and I would give my left tit to hear the recap of their trip to Denmark. To have Ronnie and Ben do Stanbury and Annabelle chain smoking in a palace fighting about how pathetic Julie is… I mean chefs kiss. On top of all that, I just discovered the INSANE LORE that comes with Noelle and Scot young from season one, and my mind is officially blown. If they ever decide to do throwback recaps, I would like to nominate the first 2 seasons of LoL.

Also if anyone knows the tea with Marissa and Matt Hermers divorce lmk

This show is so good. Watching for the first time on Peacock. This is prime reality tv - not scripted, not fake, not trying too hard.

Why did it ever get cancelled?! Where are the ladies now?! Spill the tea.

Finally getting to season 3! My goodness! I watched Dubai but plan to repeat because I see Stanbury through a new lense after L of L.

Scot and Noelle, is there more tea? I googled because they were fascinating (not that interesting on the show, just Scot's messy divorce) and it ended very sadly. Where is Noell now? How are these women viewed irl in London society? I didn't know if there's L of L tea I missed because I didn't watch in real time... Spill, I beg of you!

Biggest question: why was it not Real Housewives of London? I mean, the show feels the similar. A lot of times they give me Countess-Lu-writing-a-book-about-etiquette energy... does that make sense? All of the Americans striving to be accepted remind me of Alex McCord, especially Julie (in a great way).

Enjoying this Bravo show very much as a first time viewer of this series. Fascinated by the ladies navigating their cultural differences and celebrating shared understandings among the group.

Oh. My. God. I am in love. So like a week ago I randomly got the LOL bug after I realized it was on peacock and why did it take me this long to get into this. Low stakes arguments, interesting characters with COMPELLING storylines. I can’t believe this show only has three seasons wtf?? Caroline is witty, snippy, and is a great lead. CF… I mean come on she’s delusional and I love a neurotic lady she just like me fr, Annabel gave a really touching look into life after suicide and I really felt for her. Also having the Naomi Campbell haven’t gotten to s3 yet but I’m very excited. This needs a peacock reboot just like RHOM

Just started watching ladies of London since it was added to peacock. I looked through Patreon to see if they had any recaps and the season 1 recaps are all on SoundCloud but the links say they’re unavailable? Anyone have any luck with these?

I have just started watching ladies of London and I love it! I'm fairly sure LOL never aired in the UK, and was made solely for an american audience. Heres a few thoughts from a british viewer. Caroline Stanbury is not a household name. I used to love gossip and society magazines and I have never heard of her or seen her photographed before this show. I would like to say I like Caprice and enjoy her on the show, but the idea that Caprice is accepted and part of london high society is LAUGHABLE. Caprice is a Z list glamour model (sort of like a uk version of a playmate), who has done every low rent UK reality show to try and stay relevant . She is barely a celebrity anymore, and no self respecting london socialite would deign to even acknowledge the Sun newspaper, never mind openly sell them a story about her personal life. I cant imagine any socialite outside of the show would be willing to be photographed with her or acknowledge they know her. I really like Juliet, shes sweet and I love her enthusiasm and naivety. She might be out of her depth.

During my rewatch of Ladies of London, the music immediately jumped out at me. I wondered, "Is this where Trixie Monocle began?!"

Since I wasn't listening to Ben and Ronnie when this series originally aired, I apologize if this has been covered previously. I just couldn't help but think of Trixie and the boys every time a song played.

Juliet - probably, Caroline- in Dubai, Fleming- in Copenhagen, Marissa- in LA. those are the core cast member I think.

they could probably to a new cast, I just wonder why they haven't I mean London has so much potential if the production was similar to Miami, and I know people have real money in London it would be amazing drama with an accent?!?

I was walking home near Deveron cres, about a hour ago and was followed by a man in a black car suv thing that looked kind of like a Subaru Crosstrek. I didn’t get his license plate, as I was scared to look at him.. I wish I had, but he was driving slow beside me shouting and asking if I wanted a ride home in a creepy way. I was followed for about 5 min.. Please be careful.. I ended up walking into a friends apartment with a locking entrance so he wouldn’t know where I lived.

I just finished a rewatch - seasons two and three of Ladies of London are up there among the greatest, realest seasons of any Bravo show ever.

From Julie Montague's brewing, barely contained near constant nervous breakdown to Marissa's near death experience and subsequent postpartum depression and the struggles of the women in between, I'm not sure any Bravo show has ever genuinely captured such deep, real issues while showing all the sides of the women's lives without turning them into cariactures.

• Annabelle (RIP) clearly never healed from the extreme trauma of her early life. Then, she's training so hard for horse racing and breaks her pelvis and other bones. You can see the massive toll it takes on her and the pain she's in leading to her leaving the show because her heart is no longer in it.

• Caroline Fleming is a motherless little girl in a grown woman's body who is so vulnerable and open to everything. She never shies away from acknowledging her pain and loss, as well as her strained relationship with her emotionally distant, aristocratic father. He goes on to have serious health issues as the show is wrapping up and we see her dealing with how to be there and grieve for a father she has such a difficult time connecting to. Bonus points for never looking for trouble, but never shying away from it either - she's the only one who can confidently stand up to Stanbury on the entire cast and was also unequivocal in her support of Adela after Juliet stupidly called her suicide attempt "selfish."

• Adela is fairly recent sober (a year, I believe) and has lost everything - including her children, who are old enough by British law to say they never want to see her. She has multiple breakdowns over the rift and what her substance abuse has done to the most important relationships of her life, but we also get to see her have fun and be a fully rounded person.

• Marissa has an actual risk of dying on the show because of a very difficult pregnancy. Fortunately, mother and baby are physically fine - but Marissa is very unwell afterward. Her postpartum struggle was tangible through the screen; I'm not sure many reality shows have ever made me that worried for someone. She was so open and willing to share it all.

• Caroline Stanbury was clearly colder and I know some people may disagree with this, but I thought we saw so much through so little. Boarding school shaped who she is and I imagine she had to turn off emotion as a child to make sense of being abandoned (in her eyes) by her parents. Then her father has heart problems and her mother cries on camera, much to both their chagrin. Caroline is practically crawling out of her skin at that point because she has no idea how to emotionally connect to her own mother.

• Sophie is more of a side character but is going through a divorce (from a cast member's brother, no less) -- we see her trying to navigate her newly single life.

• Julie Montague is a neurotic American woman thrown into an old, aristocratic family who has to hold her entire family together as her husband grapples with painkiller addiction (years before the show.) They get through that and now she has to shoulder the immense responsibility of trying to save the family seat in a world she's wholly unfamiliar with. They're clearly cash strapped, constantly on the verge of collapse and it shows through her desperation on camera.

• Juliet Angus struggles to upload a photo and write a three paragraph blog daily.

It never felt like the producers were out to exploit the women, but instead they truly wanted to share their lives and stories as they played out. Same with the cast - they never sought to destroy each other for camera time and seemed to have true affection for each other. I wonder how much not having a reunion played into it - they never had to come together and pick apart every little thing they said about each other while sitting on a couch for 12 hours straight.

I really didn't mean to type this much, but Bravo got lightning in a bottle with seasons two and three. I think a (more) modern take on these two seasons applied to future Housewives seasons could be incredible. It seems like people are tiring out on the 10,000 miles an hour aggression fests some shows have become and Ladies of London was the perfect example of a show with conflict that was never toxic.

Anyone know why it seemed like Julie was anxious and stressed to generate funding for Mapperton Estate by frantically teaching yoga classes and biking around town selling her JUB balls….yet her husband was not portrayed doing the same! Did he have any other source of income? She also seems to carry so much of the burden of the day-to-day at the estate itself even currently based on her IG.

I feel bad for her based on season 2 of LoL which I’m watching now because it seems like she is managing all her kids alone, her yoga classes, business, and Mapperton. Part of it is editing I’m sure, just curious if anyone felt she was unfairly burdened for her husband’s inheritance.

I think it was one season away from becoming Bravo gold to stay. Caroline Fleming forever.

PSA to all who want to see Stanbury pre-Dubai. They officially put Ladies of London back on Bravo app! Watching this is what made me want to watch Dubai but they took it off and I didn’t get to finish Stanbury’s pre-Dubai journey.

Also to those who what RHOBH and have seen Ladies of London, HOW good would Marissa Hermer be on BH!? Her and her husband moved to LA and opened restaurants in Pacific Palisades and West Hollywood. Would love to see her back on screen

I would absolutely love it if in 2024 Bravo did a reboot of the Ladies of London franchise. I feel that it could continue on and get a new life without Caroline Stanbury. What I would like is if they brought back five or six old cast members and then three newbies. I would have Sophie, Adela and Julie as the main cast members with three newbies and then Juliet, Noelle and Caprice as the friends. I think a reboot with old cast members and newbies could really work. This franchise has so much more to give like Miami did before the reboot happened. I really hope that it happens in the near future. I think that Sophie or Adela could be a good leading lady for the franchise. I don't think Caroline F lives in London anymore but she should make a few guest appearances at the very least.

With the recent death of Annabelle, it got me thinking about this show. Truly the best show, it has the glitz, glamour, eye candy, and lifestyle porn that RH can only wish to be. I never heard much gossip about the ladies, and was wondering if we had any MKEs to shed some light on the women!

This is where I first fell in love with Caroline and I was so upset it was cancelled. Thankful she’s on our tv again! 😊

Who did you love, who did you roll your eyes on, who do you wish wasn't on the show?

I am finally watching Ladies of London, having binged the first season the last two days and eager to start the second season. It is SOOOO good, and I've heard 2nd and 3rd season are better. I absolutely love Annabelle (rest in peace), Marissa has grown on me, Caroline S is a great villain, Caprice is fine, Julie will be interesting to see more of next season, and messy Noelle grew on me. The reservation? Juliet is absolutely annoying to me. Grating. Fingernails on chalkboard. She is thirsty but not in a smart thisty way that can be effective for a HW. She's just so damn awful, and my one reservation about watching the other two seasons.

Ladies of London is marathoning all day on Bravo starting RIGHT NOW with season 1! Let's chat while we watch!

I am finally able to watch LOL for the first time and came to this sub to search for discussions. I was SHOCKED when almost every post was about how much everyone loves Caroline Stanbury. Is it one of those love to hate type opinions? To me she is conniving, egotistical, rude, disloyal, and just plain nasty. I am almost finished with the final season and I really don't see anything redeemable about her.

I’m watching ladies of London for the first time and honestly I’ve never cared for Juliet but I’ve become indifferent about her. She’s literally just a yes man and Caroline’s little pet. But how she speaks to Adela at the dinner in Scotland.. I was taken a back, how she called her selfish to her face for sharing she attempted to commit suicide during her addiction and deep depression. I’m so disgusted. Juliet sits there and defends her statement to Adela’s face and during her interview. I’m appalled. No empathy no remorse for her situation just publicly shaming her for having those feelings. I’m sure this does fucking wonders for Adela and all the viewers who are mothers and have struggled with mental health and thoughts of suicide. I don’t understand how Juliet could be so cruel
