DIY room audio system on the cheap

I wanted to experiment with some diy audio after doing audio in my car.

The “heart” of this system is my 2005 Subaru head unit at 8 watt and 4 ohm

The lows and mids are handled by two Aiwa SX-NA772 60watt 6 ohm 3 way speakers

The lows are handled by a Onkyo SKW-550 10” downfire sub 140 watt 8 ohm

3 of the 4 head unit channels are taken, 1 channel per Aiwa and one spliced rca for the sub. I think it sounds really good overall and I had a lot of fun making it work. It gets really loud when really turned up and doesn’t cut out. Sub is more than powerful enough to shake walls and rattle windows when turned up at about 3/4 power.

It take both CD and Bluetooth. Bluetooth is achieved with a cigarette lighter fm module. Head unit doesn’t have an antenna but still plays through the Bluetooth to fm module somehow, but I’m not complaining.
