One of the country’s richest business executives could end up owning most of the women’s basketball league in a deal that could inject more than $10 million into the local game.
Basketball Australia is selling a majority stake in its WNBL, giving potential international and local investors a rare opportunity to invest in the rapid rise of popularity in women’s sport.
