Welcome to Night Vale, by Joseph Fink

Hi all,

I just came across the book "Welcome to Night Vale" by Joseph Fink and I'm kind of interested. I like mystery novels and I've never read one set in a fantasy world or town before. What do you guys think about it? Is it worth a try?

Also, while we're on the topic, perhaps you could suggest other similar books?

Thoughts on a Welcome to Night Vale jacket?

The band patches would be from all the weathers that I liked and then there‘s be some night vale related patches too? Idk if it‘s worth starting a third jacket though

I'm looking for a creepy audio drama similar to Welcome to Night Vale

As the title suggests, I'm searching for a really good audio drama.

I love Welcome to Night Vale and I'm searching for something similar.

I really like stories that focus on fictional crime as well as things that are paranormal and just plain creepy.

The creepier the better and I'm okay with accents.

Weather less Welcome to Night Vale

Hello fellow listeners! I know there are some of us who greatly enjoy weather less Night Vale- for our own reasons; mine being it helps me sleep at night better. I'd usually default to YouTube for the heavily compressed weather less version and make due with that. But ever since it got removed, it never truly made a come back and I know it devastated me knowing that I wouldn't be able to sleep properly without it. Perhaps there are others who have felt that way as well.

I've downloaded all the Welcome to Night Vale episodes myself and have created a updated weather less version to the latest episode- 205 The Moon Is Gone. So in this post I'm sharing the link as I've uploaded it to my drive, thinking that other people may benefit from it as well.

Now for some disclaimers: Be careful about downloading, or even clicking any links unknowingly, as this could potentially give you some very harmful negative effects. Keep your antivirus live and keep yourself safe from viruses, and malicious software . I am in no way responsible if any harmful things happen to you.

I do not own Night Vale, nor anything associated to Welcome to Night Vale. Ownership belongs to Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor and their associated teams. Please support and listen to the official releases on official platforms to support Night Vale. Also please consider becoming a Patreon member on their official site in order to support Welcome to Night Vale directly. We love this podcast and we want it to keep going!

OKAY. fellow listeners. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SI2AzuCacY5ML6veqyijXPzppehJaT50?usp=sharing enjoy this uncompressed weather free version of Night Vale.

Update: i will update this regularly for those who care :)

Edit: as of today all 220 episodes are uploaded! Happy holidays!!

Update: I regret to inform everyone that my reddit account has been permanently suspended, probably for the link above. I have requested an appeal and if the case arises where they tell me to remove the link from their platform I must do so. Regardless however I will keep updating it because this is how I personally like to listen to Welcome to Night Vale. An important thing to note is however I have already made an appeal, and it has been rejected once.

Cheers listeners.

Any Welcome to Night Vale fans here

I'm trying to create a Night Vale themed island. I have Big Rico's pizza place. A pretty nice entrance and a star gazing area (with Ione's house on one side and gonna try to get Julian tonight for the other side). A farm for John Peters(had to spell it Jon in order to fit the full name) but I'm slowly running out of ideas for what area to start on next. Barista or Science.

Countless beers ago, an idea was born in the mind of a somewhat funny bartender/comedian: Get some friends together and record their Pathfinder game as a podcast. Lo and behold, what became of those small beginnings is a network of TTRPG content. From the dark streets of Duskvol to the mind-melting horror of Call of Cthulhu and all the Pathfinder lore you can stomach. This is The Glass Cannon Network.

Podcasts similar to Welcome to Night Vale

I fell off sometime in 2018-2019. I want to say I was between 100-130 episodes in. It’s the only podcast that has ever really grabbed me.

I’m into horror and weird shit like that. I made it past the point where they started adding in other voice actors and had a recording of the live performances.

It doesn’t show where I left off at. Maybe I should just go back and listen to the whole thing again.

Either way I’m really in the mood for something similar. Any suggestions?

Prediction: Observable Radio WILL be the next Welcome to Night Vale

So I gotta be honest, I’m kinda pissed at Cameron Suey and Phil van Hest right now. These two not only had the gall to release their show, Observable Radio, the same time as my own (cough cough Twilight Meridian go listen) but also went and made something that is, I’m afraid to say...amazing.

What’s worse, these jerks also went out and coerced, probably under threat of harm, a poor artist to make a cover art that is mesmerizing, haunting, and a touch mystical. Stop and look.

WTF? That eye feels like its staring into my soul from a Fallout green laden canvas with story promises the likes of X-Files or Twilight Zone. Quick stop staring at it!

Now if you’re still reading and wondering what the hell I’m blathering about, Observable Radio is a “found footage” show, and no, its not some a rip-off of some guy talking into a tape recorder, Suey and van Hest are smarter than that unfortunately. The show follows “The Observer” an otherwise unnamed protagonist who has stumbled across a series of strange radio transmissions that don’t seem to be from our world. Are they from aliens? Other dimensions? Alternate timelines? How the hell should I know but be prepared for sinister plots to slowly unfold before you as each episode subtly lures you into its unsuspecting maw of prodigiousness. And could there be a conspiracy far greater at play? A dark, wraith-like meta-plot in the works? Man I hope they fucked that part up at least but I doubt it.

If that weren’t insulting enough, they use this alluring synth wave music, you know sorta like the opening of Stranger Things. Music that guarenrees it’s going to be an awesome show but very much Stranger Things seasons 1 and 2 awesome not that steaming pile of shit “awesome” that was season 4. Not that. But I digress.

I’m sad to admit that I’m all in on this show becoming the next Welcome to Night Vale. Sad to know so many potential listeners will be knocking at its door before my own (cough cough Twilight Meridian). It’s only been two episodes and I already know it’s too late: This show is going to be great.

Who is the big bad (If any) of each year of Welcome To NightVale
false

For Year 1, there's not really anything specific, maybe the tiny underground town?
For Year 2, StrexCorp, Obviously.
What about the rest, who are the main villains, biggest threats, or big bad guys of each year of Welcome to Night Vale?
