Wade Keller
Wade says here that the airing the Wembley footage wasn’t the Bucks idea nor were they in favour of airing it.
Ospreay’s “Grind” promo was an idea presented to him earlier in the day.
Wade said from what he heard no one was in favour of either. And morale doesn’t seem great. (Tweet by @SoDuTw on Twitter)
Listening to Wade Keller’s Cody pod this morning, he casually mentions AEW is learning Keith Lee comes with some baggage. Anyone know what he is referring to?
Wade also mentioned on his podcast that he rubbed people the wrong way in AEW already. Crazy how these things leak out after wrestlers are let go by WWE.
Edit:
Jim Ross said Keith Lee "has got a lot of work to do, he’s an undeveloped product. That was pretty cool, I’m a fan of his. Cowboy Bill Watts told me a long time ago that athletic big men have a chance to draw a lot of money. Certainly, Keith Lee is an athletic, big man. He’s got to make a living and Tony Khan provided an opportunity there for Keith Lee.”
Here's the correct article
I've heard attitude issues before he was signed to WWE in the indies, and then in NXT which Wade has verified if you believe his word.
Edit: when Moxley left they said he had attitude issues and that was bullshit. Could be WWE leaking shit?
On the main roster they did him dirty though, so idk what to believe. Honestly, watching him in AEW, he looked 50Ibs heavier then he was in WWE, and maybe dropping under 300 is better for his health as he approaches 40y.
Dude is 37y and should focus on his health, especially now that alot of eyes are on AEW about diversity and he's someone that can be a main event talent. He's that good imo. I'm a huge fan of his so I hope he steps up and takes care of himself.
A note from the Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Post Show on AEW Dynamite when discussing the long disjointed promo on The Firm on Dynamite last night. Some people backstage think that Stokely is more focused on getting himself over than the wrestler he's representing.
So according to Keller's report for PWTorch, Roman wasn't Vince's first choice for Taker's opponent at Wrestlemania but Taker insisted that if he was wrestling, this was his retirement match and he wanted to lose to a younger guy. This was not negotiable for Taker. Vince looked at his options and decided to go with Roman, although he did consider others.
The way he worded it makes me wonder maybe Undertaker vs. Cena was the original plan but Taker vetoed it.

Edit: sorry, meant Saturday.
This comment blew my mind but does explain a lot. Also kind of shows that this social media blitz by fans and journalists to bring attention to Moolah's history is having an effect both inside and out of the company. What a terrible position WWE put their women in.
These are his final thoughts from the review: That second hour was one of the worst hours of Dynamite in history. A lot of bad early tendencies showed up that for the better part of a year have been kept off of Dynamite. It just felt like a bad episode of WCW Thunder with the B-team and bad ideas and sloppy wrestling and corny ham-it-up performances.
He pretty much destroyed every segment in the 2nd hour in his review.

In summary, they both rant about how WWE is currently shooting itself in the foot and killing the drawing power of their top guys by going so out of their way to show the crowd that it's all just a work/entertainment. In particular, they bring up:
-
Breaking Ground, wherein aspiring wrestlers openly talk about trying to "create a character". By the time the talent reaches the main roster, how can you expect the audience to care about a character if the person openly talked about how it's just an act?
-
Kofi on RAW last week saying "this isn't just my character talking, I really hate country music". Austin specifically says "imagine if I as Stone Cold went out there and said, 'and this isn't just my character talking..', as far as the crowd knows, there is ONLY Stone Cold Steve Austin. There is no character."
-
Becky Lynch losing on RAW to a cheating Sasha Banks, and then doing a goofy backstage segment with Big E like the loss didn't matter. If she doesn't care, why should we?
-
How all matches are laid out 50/50 (which has been discussed to death recently), designed strictly just to entertain the crowd and not actually elicit any type of feeling one way or another towards a specific wrestler. Wade says that 19 out 20 times, a "this is awesome" chant is a bad thing. Crowds should be cheering/booing, not just appreciating the entertainment.
-
Wade brings up how people get so invested in reality TV shows because the characters (for the most part) never come out and say that they're just acting or playing a character. They continue the "work" even when they're not on screen. If you want your heels to be effective, you need the audience to think that they are shitty/undeserving people in real life. And the opposite needs to be true for your babyfaces.

On this weeks Bruce Mitchell Audio Show, Wade mentioned that he'd like to see the roster hold up management with a list of demands the day before WrestleMania. I couldn't agree more.
For example, nobody is getting a percentage of Network money to make up for the loss of PPV paydays, meaning that a large chunk of income has been transferred from the workers to the shareholders with zero explanation. The lack of medical insurance, bullying of talent by management, and house show money being almost cut in half are also issues that need to be brought up.
Guy has officially lost his fucking mind.
