Set sharing restrictions for a post
You can make sure your Google+ posts and the comments on those posts are seen only by people within your organization, even if someone tries to share them externally. Use this feature to prevent the disclosure of confidential information.
To set sharing restrictions for your post:
On a desktop device-
After composing your post, click the drop-down arrow in the To: box.
-
In addition to standard sharing options, you'll see either Keep within <your organization> or Allow external sharing. Which option you see depends on whether your organization restricts sharing by default.
- Choose Keep within <your organization> to prevent your post from being shared externally. Restricted posts display a building icon wherever it shows how a post is shared.
- Choose Allow external sharing to allow your post to be shared outside your organization.
Note: Choosing Allow external sharing doesn't automatically make a post visible to everyone; as always, a post is visible only to the people it's shared with.
-
Touch the box where you choose who will see the post.
Alternatively, touch Or pick people and circles (if you see that option).
-
You'll see Restrict to <your organization> with an On/Off toggle switch.
- Set the toggle to On to prevent your post from being shared externally. Restricted posts display a building icon wherever it shows how a post is shared.
- Set the toggle to Off to allow your post to be shared externally.
Note: Setting the toggle to Off doesn't automatically make a post visible to everyone; as always, a post is visible only to the people it's shared with.
