Panera thinking people are deaf while messing up orders…

So I was running errands and just wanted to stop for a bagel. I go in, find out they only have plain or walnut cream cheese now…not my preference but whatever, it’s fine.

I’m standing in the pick up area and I hear:

Girl 1: “What happened to that asiago?” Girl 2: “I put it with this one” 1: “that was for this one says my name” 2: “whoops” 1: “yeah see? This one came in first”

They call my name: “We’re actually out of the asiago bagel, do you want a different one?”

I straight up said “no.”

She had such a dumbfounded look on her face and was irritated that I wanted a refund.

I literally just heard that you gave MY bagel to someone that ordered after me! The last one!! Yet I’m the “asshole customer”

Edit to add: the refund was offered and I took them up on the offer.

"Anti-woke" is peak Boomerism

Can't dump my used motor oil down the storm drain? "Woke!" Can't call my nephew q--er for being in dance? "Wokeism!" Granddaughter corrected me for saying "the Blacks"? "Woke mind virus!"

Rather than taking accountability for any bit of Boomer bigotry it's like "woke" is their get-out-of-jail-free card. Of course they're not the problem and how dare anyone ask them to change their views.

As a senior Millennial I've watched my generation change with the times, why won't the Boomers?

My mother, (who is an elder gen xer, technically) refuses to try to understand what I do for a living and repeatedly wrongly describes my job. I’m a substance abuse counselor; she thinks I “teach classes”. I’ve never taught a class in my life. I diagnose and treat substance use disorders by way of individual and group counseling. To my mom, somehow that translates to, “teaching classes”. Anytime I talk to her on the phone after work, she’ll say, “How were your classes? Did you teach them a lot?” I’m not a fucking teacher and I only do one group per week. And it’s fucking group counseling, it’s not a class lol. What about y’all?

Boomer parents dont understand that wife needs Rest after birth

This happend years ago when my Daughter was born.

After my daughter was born we decided to give my wife and the Baby some rest before having any visitors. I called our Parents, told then the Baby was Born and Well and that they are Welcome to visit my wife and child in the Hospital the next day, as 14 hours of labour are of course very taxing For both.

Of course my Father did Not accept that after telling him multiple Times that the wife needs Rest and that there is another mother with us in the Hospital room that also Just Had her child.

1 hour later he bursts into the Hospital room, No knocking, No calling beforhand while the Lady next too is is feeding and my wife and Baby are sleeping.

When i sent him Out and tried to explain hin why we need some Rest and why bursting into a damn room with 2 women with newborns all je Said "i have Every right to visit my grandchild"

My mother was embarrassed as she was basicly dragged there by my Father.

I still cant fathom why His Personal urge to See His granddaugter (wich we already sent dozens of Photos of at that Point) was so much bigger then the reasonable Idea of leaving the mother and child alone to Rest after a stressfull birth.
