I can't find the original clip. Is anyone here a kid enough to have been around during that time to confirm?

I mean just as I thought Tony B’s was fantastic, Sil pulled me back in. We all know they could never pull off a Gary Cooper though. What ever happened to him?

So, as a european who has zero knowledge or relationship with Jackie Gleasons comedy, i never really understood those scenes with Tony B making those impressions to Tony and Angelo/Rusty. Clearly they have some sort of significance since they are referenced in Tonys dreams. Are Tony Bs impressions really that good, or is Tonys dream sequences (My cousin does a mean Gleason! Pow right in the kisser!) just a manifestation of his guilt? Whats the thing with Gleason anyways, is there some deeper connectiojn between him and the show/this thing of ours or is this just one of those things that David Chase put into the series cause it meant something to him growing up? Have i missed out on something big and profound having never seen Gleason/Honeymooners?

For pre-1980 or so TV shows -- but not the usual Lucy or *Gunsmoke* reruns. This subreddit is for the ephemeral TV programs of the pre-VCR era -- the stuff no one ever expected to see again: newscasts, local kiddie shows and horror movie hosts, live TV dramas, game shows, soap operas, teen dance parties... Oh, and kinescopes. Lots and LOTS of kinescopes.

Relating to anything with the Smokey and the Bandit movies... from the great characters and actors that played in them ( Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jackie Gleason, Jerry Reed ) to the fantastic, infamous Trans Ams.

The front page of this subreddit is meant to be a living representation of quality content on Netflix and you might see the same submissions multiple times.
