Hi Reddit! I’m a serial entrepreneur who has bootstrapped 3 ecommerce businesses including , , and , collectively forming the . Our brands gross over $20M per year. I started out with $100 selling out of the trunk of my car, and was able to grow that into a 55+ person company. Appearing on season 6 of ABC’s Shark Tank, I received offers from all five sharks. I ended up taking a deal from Mark Cuban for $650,000 in exchange for 5% equity in the company, and a licensing deal from Daymond John for 20% of profits.

When I first started watching Shark Tank around when Season 4 was airing, I thought Kevin, aka Mr. Wonderful was the worst shark because he was “mean”, “greedy”, and would be a jerk a lot to entrepreneurs. But honestly as time has gone on, Kevin might actually be my favorite shark. Even though he wants royalties a lot of the time or makes high interest debt offers, he actually makes offers quite a lot compared to other sharks.

Now let’s get to Daymond… after watching so much shark tank, I have grown to not like Daymond. I know people complain about Barbara a lot, with her going out for no reason or very stupid reasons, but Daymond just drives me nuts for several reasons. For one, anytime a company with a big valuation who has raised a lot of money and/or has big sales, Daymond always goes on about how “he’s there to help people who need it the most” and “how dare these people take the carpet away from someone who really needs it”.

BUT even when “those people who really need it” come on the show he RARELY makes an offer or he will make a terrible offer such as wanting a third of the company or something simply terrible.

Even when “the people who really need it” come on, Daymond will just be like “It’s too early for me, I’m out” LIKE…. aren’t you the one saying you are here to help the people who really need it??? Like stfu Daymond. Dude makes no sense and honestly is the worst shark in my opinion.

Not to mention the things I heard about some shady stuff that went down with him and Bubba’s bbq… but honestly replace Daymond with Daniel (the Kind guy), Kevin Hart, Emma, or any of the good guest sharks.

Another instance is where Lori agreed on a (25%)? deal but after the show in private she tried to talk them into 75% which they obviously rejected. Wondering why some of these deals don’t come to fruition?
