After a year, finally landed a job! (Self Taught)

Hey everyone. So, like the title says, I finally landed a job. To give you some background I have no college degree and have been working in blue collar since I graduated highschool. I'm 24 now and I'm self taught and have been for a year. Started my journey last year in January and left my job in June to pursue this full time. Honestly have to say that this journey hasn't been easy. It's one thing to learn on your own compared to other people that have guidance there for them like college or a bootcamp. But it's what's made me the kind of programmer I am. I've had to learn so much on my own.

I saw a job listing on indeed for an entry level software dev local to where I live and I applied. Interviewed, and they liked me. Perhaps there were other people more qualified but, they told me what they liked most about me was my eagerness to learn and how far I had already made it just on my own!

For all of my fellow self taught software devs, don't give up. Keep learning and making projects. Keep applying. But overall, be yourself. It's exactly what I did in this interview and I got the job. Job market is rough, but you guys got this!

I hope this motivates you guys.

If cyber security experts are against kernel anti-cheat then who decided it would be a good idea for kernel anti-cheat?

I have watched multiple videos about kernel anti-cheats and read articles about how kernel anti-cheats are a risk as they open vulnerabilities for bad actors to exploit.

Why did this become the norm for anti-cheats, and why the user mode anti-cheats are not sufficient? Is it the only way for developers to protect their games?
