Rex Chapman explains why he believes there are so many good white international NBA players, but we haven’t seen a white American player named to an All-NBA team in 10 years: "'You can't play that sport, it doesn't suit your race.' That's not how [European players] are brought up.. That's f—ed up."

The last white American player selected to an All-NBA team was David Lee in 2012-2013 (All-NBA 3rd Team) Kevin Love in 2013-2014 (All-NBA 2nd Team)

I think these group play a common role. Christie and Starks are grittier on defense, but Barry and Chapman may potentially elevate the team offensively.

Not so sure with this take. What are your thoughts?

Rex Chapman shares a great anecdote on his 39 Point Game against the ‘96 Bulls via twitter

Source: the ChapGod himself

“Our son (and oldest) was 3 at the time. Loved Michael. He didn’t go to the game that night. When I left the house he was in his Bulls MJ uniform.

When I got home he was asleep. I woke him up. He asked who won and I said “we did”.

He started bawling and ran back to bed.”

Man was on one

Analysis of today's drop (Zen, S3, Deck the Hall, Rex Chapman takeover)

ZEN PACKS- Featured player: Shaquille O'Neal

GO Shaquille O'Neal (A-)

We all are quite disappointed by this Shaquille O'Neal card, considering it's an opal.

Can't shoot or dribble that well (specially shooting) yet has amazing numbers across the board. Yet he's still worse than cheaper and better options like KAJ, Hakeem, Tyson, etc.

Honestly, he's not worth his price, and i only advice you to buy him if you're a big Shaq fan.

Diamond Shaquille O'Neal (B-)

Same as his opal, but worse.

There's much more options for you to choose other than this card. Like the GO, only buy him if you're a Shaq fan.

Amethyst Shaquille O'Neal (F)

Same as his diamond, but even worse. He's really bad and i wouldn't recommend him even to starters, there's so much options other than him.

Other cards from the set:

PD Carmelo Anthony (A)

Amazing card, can do everything (except for his kinda low defense), money jumpshot and not that small (6'8). Honestly there's not much you can say about it. It's great and plays kinda like his PD from level 40 last year. Top 10-20 SF easily.

PD Grant Hill (A-)

He's good, however there's better options for his price and even lower. There's a ton of SGs or SFs that you can get instead of him, with many being past free rewards. Recommend if you like Grant Hill cards or if you're a fan of him.

Diamond Lauri Markkanen (A)

He plays like the Amy Poku from last set but better in some things. 7'0 small forward with 94 three ball and some nice numbers other than that. He's not a good dribbler (who even would dribble with Lauri Markkanen anyway) yet can play like a 7 foot cone at SF.

Diamond Thurl Bailey (A or A+)

6'11 small forward that can do pratically everything, good jumpshot, 80s across the board and good badges. He's what you would expect from Thurl Bailey cards; elite and somewhat cheap.

The amethysts are kinda bad so it's not worth reviewing them in this post.

Deck the Hall and S3 Select 1

PD Billy Cunningham (B+ or B-)

77 3 point shot 6'6 small forward with a slow release, bad tendencies and no clamps. Yet he has his strengths like dunking and....... dunking. There's not much to this card other than it's high price. Not worth it, wouldn't recommend locking in for him.

Diamond Bernard King (A-)

6'7 shooting guard with an amazing offense yet bad defense. He's not bad, just not worth it due to the sheer amount of options for his position. Wouldn't recommend locking in since it's gonna be quite expensive.

Diamond Adrian Dantley (C+)

6'5 shooting guard, 77 three point shot and a decent defense. Terrible tendencies and kinda bad sigs. Just not worth it for his price.

The rest of the Deck the Hall players are just random HOFers you need to lock in for Bernard and Adrian, so it's not worth reviewing them since they're just gonna be for locking in.

S3 (Holiday event)

Amethyst Michael Cooper (A+ compared to other amethysts, A- in general)

6'5 shooting guard, 87 three point shot, 90 dunk, nice speed and jumpshot and incredible defense for an amethyst. He's really good for an amethyst yet he can't reach levels of PD or some diamond shooting guards, like expected.

Friday Takeover Reward: PD Rex Chapman (A+)

6'4 point guard with 95 three and dunk, good defense, fast, good jumpshot, every badge you would need and average dribbling. Amazing card, top 5 or 10 point guard in the game, yet has that really long grind like every friday takeover, except it's worth it unlike past friday takeovers.

Honestly this drop isn't that bad at all, there's great cards, bad cards, bad cards due to their prices and filler cards.

Some cards stand out among others, like the Markkanen and Thurl.

And theres others that just can be replaced by cheaper and better alternatives like:

Betwixt GO Shaq and PD Kareem, i'll take Kareem any day due to the price and Kareem being just overall better.

You can share your opinions in the comments if you wish to, if you disagree or agree with me or anything else.

Dirk Nowitzki says he "didn't know Rex Chapman was still alive" after he calls him out for flopping in 2009

During the 2009 Mavs-Nuggets series, Rex Chapman (who was VP of Player Personnel for Denver) accused Dirk of flopping when K-Mart was fined 25k for a flagrant.

Dirk reacted to the flopping accusation with this quip:

“I didn’t know Rex Chapman was still alive,” Nowitzki said Tuesday.

“I don’t think I acted on that play. It was pretty obvious that I drove baseline, got bumped, got the foul and kept on driving. Sometimes with the continuation in this league, he wanted to make sure I didn’t lay it in and give them [the refs] a chance to count the basket. “I don’t think I am necessarily an actor. I try to play hard. And that’s about it.”

The Incredibly Odd Life of Rex Chapman

For those of you on Twitter, you may have noticed that former Suns guard Rex Chapman has somehow become the go to guy from trending videos on the internet. I'm constantly seeing people retweet his posts of trending material, and it just puzzles me how this guy went from a basketball name to twitter savant.

I remember watching live his game-tying buzzer-beater in 97. Haven't really seen a crazy shot like that go in until Booker arrived.

Then he seemingly disappeared for years until in 2014 he was arrested for shoplifting $15k from an Apple Store in Scottsdale. It was revealed that he had a opioid addiction and was stealing to support his habit. After that he got clean and began working closely with his old school, Kentucky.

I found a recent article that summarized his rise and fall and redemption.
