I’m just so glad at how good he’s been at host. He’s the perfect man for the job. He understands the rhythm and just makes the close, back and forth games like the past two nights that much more invigorating.

The truth for me is nobody deserves the position of full time host except for Ken. It was solidified for life when he pronounced “genre” like Trebek.
It’s a small nod to the world perhaps but for me, it shows his immense respect for the the legend before him. I know certain other hosts admittedly didn’t grow up watching jeopardy but when they don’t say it like him, I’m sincerely disappointed. Like a missed opportunity to show some love.
All I’m saying is Ken is stellar, classic, and I wanted to show him some love for basically making my day yesterday.

Was reading some stuff about the Jeopardy GOAT tournament they're doing, and people brought up a from Ken Jennings' original run.
[Tool Time for 200]
This term for a long-handled gardening tool can also mean an immoral pleasure seeker
Ken: What's a hoe?
Alex: No. Whoa. WHOA! Whoa. They teach you that in school in Utah, huh? Al.
Al: What's a rake?
I think hoe is a perfectly correct answer to the clue, and Ken should have gotten it right. It's funny, but he's not wrong. Hoes are long handled gardening tools, and immoral pleasure seekers, or at least widely seen as immoral.
After all the bruhaha over who would replace Alex Trebek and the utter folly of the producer thinking he was the guy, the show has finally settled into a perfect rhythm with Ken Jennings. He's pretty much Mr. Jeopardy now while being that link to the Trebek years. He mentions Trebek often and you can hear that he channels the way the audience still feels regarding his memory. Jennings keeps the show going. His banter is always good. He's got a sense of humor. He clearly feels a comradeship and affinity for the contestants. He's pretty damned likeable.
All in all, he's done a terrific job and the show is as watchable and enjoyable as ever.
I Am A, where the mundane becomes fascinating and the outrageous suddenly seems normal.
I was on Jeopardy so long ago that Friends was still on TV and no one took pictures of their food. I'm currently back playing on their "Battle of the Decades."
I'm now the author of the for kids. They're fun!
