Dan Patrick spoke live and immediately scolded the White House for not contacting him. From what was said, it sounds like Dan made no effort to contact and make the distaster declaration. Instead choosing to wait. Also, it sounds as though he admitted they couldn’t contact him through direct channels and instead insisted they needed to call his cell.

Dan Patrick Thoughts

DP offered some thoughts on the ESPN move. Being a leader of the sports talk landscape as well as someone who has had a show on ESPN before, his opinion is worth more than most IMO. It was far from a ringing endorsement. Said the move is in the opposite direction of people with a sports show(him, Eisen, Lebatard etc). The goal is to breakaway and do it on your own. DP is very confused on the move from independent to corporate.

Not complaining, the free show that's given years of entertainment owes me not a gahd damn thing. Credit to Pat and the boys for a pay day. Just an interesting take with some actual facts behind it

Dan Patrick just said that back in 2014 LeBron tried to get the Cavs and Pistons to swap ownership

Dan Patrick, who's usually pretty solid and accurate when he reports something, said he heard from an NBA source that he trusts, that Lebron tried to orchestrate what would essentially be a trade of owners between the Cavs and Pistons.

He said that Lebron wanted to return to Cleveland, but didn't want to play for Dan Gilbert. So, apparently he wanted the Pistons ownership to take over the Cavs and Dan Gilbert (who's apparently from Michigan) would take over ownership of the Pistons. He also wanted the Pistons ownership to hire Tom Izzo to coach the Cavs when they took over ownership.
